Could this bad boy be the purple crocolisk that everyone's been searching for? If he is...sadly, he's not tamable. Found him in the way south of Uldum after stumbling across Neferset City.

The purple one has a black body, purple spines, purple belly, and glowing red eyes.

Ahh...I see. Well, it was dark, I'd just come off of raid, and was rather tired. Just as well, since it's not currently tamable. Hopefully the other one will turn up somewhere. I'll keep my eyes open for it. So what do we call this one? A Lavender Crocolilsk?

Would not be surprised if its for a quest or spawn in uldum thats not yet in.

Nice find! Cata.wowhead doesn't even have that one yet! The only croc with that skin ('CrocodileCataclysmBlack') that they list is one called Gorebite. I don't know where that one lives. Unless they renamed him in this patch and they're the same croc?

Also there is a croc with that same white-ish skin in Silperpine south of SFK only it changes colors

Better pic. Camouflage is great for scouting out new instances.

Gorebite...I know where that one is! There's an area near where I sighted the "white" croc called the Pit of Scales. I saw an orc DK in there down below me fighting a croc called Gorebite. It may be something not unlike the Ring of Blood. I didn't think to Beast Lore that croc as I flew over it, so it might be worth checking out.

Mm, just saw Gorebite, there's a bunch of people here doing that quest. Couldn't Beast Lore him and came to find out once I bothered to mouse over him that he's flagged as a humanoid.

Well, we haven't had the full pet pass yet. We've gotten some scaling, but the vast, vast majority of the new animal mobs they've put in have been flagged as either humanoid or untamable. I'm rather hoping that will change, so maybe these mobs will be reflagged or reclassified when we get the full pet pass done. There is still cause for hope.

He's not the color I'm hoping for for Quin, but he's pretty! I really like the shading! Crossing fingers he ends up tameable somewhere!

Indeed plenty of animals have the diet tag on them but a untameable tag under it so fingers crossed.

Lockmaw is 87, so his flag doesn't matter one way or the other at the moment. :/
