Alright! So I have finally reached the point where my first spirit beast can be tamed!

My goal would actually be Loque'Nahak, but Arcturis is the first one I can get so I will be going for him now at start!

I have calculated that he will spawn before 17:00 tomorrow RT (Realm Time is atm 18:30). Since I have heard he spawns in a timer between 12-24 hours.

So I've shadowmelded myself in place just waiting. Already seen like three people trying to look for him, but they just take off right away so its not a huge deal :p

I will try, with my "epic" image skills to put out a picture of me and my Chimaera, which is named after a paladin Horde I met in SW.

I will keep you up to date trough the whole time, I will try to make an edited update each hour


Now I am off to eat, hopefully he doesn't spawn while I'm gone for 15 minutes.

Good luck on your hunt! Arcturis is a lovely bear, I had him for quite a while before I ended up letting him go for The Beast. I hope your hunt for him goes well and you get him with no problems. Just be careful, when I tried to tame him at that level I got beaten to death twice while taming, he hits pretty hard, so just be prepared to feign!

just rember freeze trap took me 3 days same with louq the best way i can think of taming is this

put frost trap down take a few steps back shoot him with that stun shot (forget name) start time by the time he hits trap u have 15 seconds left n it be in the bag or stable for that matter =D

Thanks I am prepared, watched a few videos... Not sure, but I seem to think he hits for 1k + >< ... I might just be crazy, but anyway

Been back from feeding myself! No spawn according to Combatlog, also the NPCscan or Silverdragon haven't popped. I am still unsure wether it will pop when it is in the area or only when I mouse over him. Could anyone verify this so I can watch tv more closely? I have my volume REALLY high and make it sound even though I am doing something else like writing this. Would be great

If you have NPCscan and your cache is cleared of Artcuris, then turn up your volume REALLY loud. When he appears, there'll be an obnoxious banging noise that will probably make you jump about 10 feet in the air, and a small rotating portrait of him will appear so when you click on it you can target him immediately. Doesn't need to be a mouseover, as long as your cache is clear!!!

Also, DON'T back up when you set a frost trap down. All the spirit beasts do a pounce and will go RIGHT over your trap if you step back from it. If you let him attack you, then at 74 Artcuris hits like a truck and you will be dead fast. Make sure you're in range of him, set the trap RIGHT at your feet, tag him once with a shot to make sure you discourage other people from stealing him, and THEN start the tame. He'll pounce right into your trap then.

Thanks for the tips, I will be sure to let my computer stand on and move every 15 minutes to un-afk me. Hope it doesn't take like 23 hours >< Anything can happen!

Just been back after some roaming outside with a friend, had someone watch the spot in the meanwhile so he haven't spawned yet... Been camping now for 5 hours, under 19 hours till he spawns!!!!

And I am entering my eleventh hour of camping now as we speak. I sense the bear is right around the corner

It took me awhile to get mine. Was just tamed today by my hubby while I was at work. Then, by kind fate, when he logged on his hunter who was parked nearby to protect my baby hunter, Arc was up again, so he got him one as well.

That was 9 hours later, if that helps any.

Aww congratulations! I fell asleep last night >< So I don't know if he have spawned and if it really is worth camping him right now. I just hope he spawns before 17:00. If not, I know he spawned while I was sleeping (05:00 - 11:45).

This is a little off topic, but I like the look of you UI where your and your pet's portraits are. What addon is that?

Hehe no problem, it is an AddOn called X-Perl Unitframes. The frames move, just like your character and makes it feel more... Alive!

Be ware that if you log in and the portrait of your character is black, then the AddOn has bugged, and it will not update your health after what it "really" is, so you just then need to re-log until it have fixed itself.

It comes with a handy option-button that is shaped like a white pearl near the mini-map!
