Core Hounds no longer tamable??

I set off to tame a Core Hound yesterday......
my first try was.... The Kurken
untamable........
then I went to Blackrock Spire
to tame the beast....
UNTAMABLE
today after work i may try
Spawn of Uvuros or Uvuros
but i dont have any hopes

you cant be serious :O...
hope to see more info on this, would hate to start Cataclysm knowing my corehound i replaced for Arcturis will no longer be tameable =/
if they are im definitely abandoning my raiding pet for Uvuros right before cata goes live

Are you sure you have the Beast Mastery talent? You can't tame exotics (including Core Hounds) without it.
I know I tamed Uvuros last week just for the kicks and it went just fine.
Edit:
Kurken is still tameable.

omg i feel like a total noob...
I resently came back to WOW after a looong absence (used to be a raider back when the biggest boss was Nefarian
and stoped after Ahn'Qiraj)
so i didnt pay much attention to the new talent trees i just made it to lvl 71 and thought ... ill take a core hound to honnor all those MC runs hehehe
I had never taken the Beast Mastery road so i didnt look the talents all the way down
my bad
ill respec and go get the white one....
by the way if i change my spec after the taming can i still control the exotik pets i have tamed?

You can only use an exotic while in the BM spec. When you spec into another tree, your exotic is locked in the stables until you return to BM

golden..can you please tell me wich addons you use? i Love your interface, it's so clean and simple! tell me please aaall addons you use

Simple Buff Bars
Chinchilla Minimap
Shadowed Unit Frames
Dominos
wChat
TipTac
TidyPlates (some tweaks to the health bars above mobs - also comes with a simple indication of your aggro, so I don't have to waste room for Omen)
KgPanels (for the boxes around my skillbars)
Quartz
And a LOT of tweaking around. XD Those are just the ones that are generally visible.

Yea! Great,my interface is a kind of chaos,i use bartender and had setted up everything but the result is a lot of buttons and still i have to search for some i can't find at the right moment. Thank you very much
