Wild Hammer better then Shadowmourne ?

At first glance I don't see how the Wild Hammer would be better then then Shadowmourne. You can pretty much match the strength with 3 gems. The mastery rating thing I'm still unsure what that is really.

i doubt youd replace shadowmourn its a legendary and its effect and such give it a pretty competitive edge against cataclysm weapons worst comes to worst itll become a legacy item that you wear around cities or store in a bank

I was looking at the stats of the new blue's and alot of times the only advantage you get is more stamina. I'm just wondering how important that extra health is going to be vrs the dmg ?

Well, the stats and sockets make it about a wash. Remember though, that depending on class/spec, they get bonuses from the stam too. But it's a lvl85 blue you are talking about. So if you didn't have your SM already, might not be the incentive to try to get it, unless you are sure your guild can get you there (it is a lot of work to complete that quest after all).
(And it also shows you that you WILL be replacing all your gear before Cata raiding).

Yeah I was thinking that too, and If you tank with SM, the new WH has a truck load more stam 
That said, Legendaries will always be that, legendary. But they are never BIS for ever, sadly it's just the way it goes...

It's a lvl 83 blue and I was more curios about questing and dungeons leading up to lvl 85 end game.
