Hello there everybody hope your all feeling great today :) .... Today i have been thinking about the Bm Hunters talent, they always been abit behide dps in raids sometimes.. Well this is what i been thinking today of a very good idea that i thought it be a great idea for the bm hunters if blizz makes all the rare pets do 10-25 more dps then normal pets.. Why because im sick of been behide in dps with all these awesome rare pets!!!! I would like to keep up with the other survl mm hunters what do you think of this ???

1) Probably wrong place to post this, but it should get moved pretty soon.

2) Buffing pet DPS has been pretty much thrown out the door in terms of ideas on how to boost BM DPS in raids. Quite a few fights would be REALLY hard for the hunter to keep the pet up and on the boss most of the time, cutting down the DPS significantly.

It's a nice idea, but if a DPS boost was given, it would have to be some sort of shot, rotation, etc. change.

Well, Cata -Pets seems a bit out of place, but Cata - Hunters sounds fine. Three subsections, hehe.

I play the class & spec combo I enjoy the most, not necessarily who does the most DPS.

Pet choice > anything else!

:)

Happy player > everything else, too! I'm BM for life even after trying the other specs several times, and outdps most other Hunters I come across, often even those who are geared better than I am.

I'm moving this to the Pet Discussion forum, as that seems like the right place to me.

1) His post involves an idea considering the pets of the BM hunter.

2) The situation would still be the same as the encounters today, the DPS would drop more, but only back to what it was pre-buff. Afterall it isn't that hard to keep it alive if you focus

I like the idea, but I would suggest that when the pet dies, the BM hunter is "enraged" or something similar, which will cover the loss of DPS, just a tought.

EDIT: also didn't see anything about cata in here ;o might aswell be an added thing to a patch

An integral part of BM is keeping the pet alive. Letting the player do more damage with a dead pet is probably a bad idea.

Intentionally killing a pet isn't easy though, also while the buff only replaces the damage lost from the pet, the work to kill it wouldn't be worth it anyway.

Hmm pet dies in a pvp scenerio hunter goes Berzerker rage for 15-20 seconds doing +x amount of damage and all fear and cc abilities used again the hunter reduced by X amount or some immunities. Sounds fun. Unknowne-Elune

But if pet dies you can always rez them back up.. if blizz reduce the rezing time like 1min and should be ok :D

If things work the way Blizzard intends them to work (I know, big "if" there, but bear with me on this), the new Mastery stat is supposed to give the developers a tool to fine-tune the damage between specs within a single class. For instance, if we currently had Mastery on our gear, the devs would obviously be saying, "Hrm. BM and SV need some help, and MM is too far ahead." And using Mastery as the tuning knob, would bump up the two lagging specs and/or cut back the spec too far ahead so that all three specs did comparable damage.

At least, that's the theory. I just hope it all works out.

Sadly, however, we're more likely to see something like "This spec is ahead. Meh. I'll fix it after coffeebreak. Honest."
