I really should call it Freeway Blowouts but Meh.
So I'm driving along on the Freeway to get to my mechanics house to have my car worked on because its leaking oil. I'm driving along then out of nowhere my car starts shaking violently. My heart sinks in my chest and I keep saying to myself, "Oh crap oh crap oh crap".
I turn on my blinker and make my way from the Left lane across 2 others and onto the side of the road all the while my car is shaking from side to side.
With my emergency lights on I turn off my car hop out and take a look.
Here is what I saw:
Thank God, I'm alive and well, back home safe and sound.
This was, one of the scariest experiences in my life.
Spare tires are a wonderful thing <3
Felt like sharing; Does anyone else have any roadside stories?

I was in a bus that drove into a ditch last week. Does that count?

I am so glad you are ok! i had one like that i was drving to school ( back in 2006) it was like 5ish in the morning and still dark out. I was in my moms car at the time, and i had to slow down because the car in front of me was turning. So when he turned i took off again well i noticed people were flashing their light at me and i couldnt figure out why. Checked so see if maybe i accidently turned on the high beams, nope. For what ever reason i looked in the rear view mirror and i see smoke coming from behind. Im like OMG WTH?! I pull over get out and look the WHOLE tire was slashed up i mean it looked like someone came up to the side of the car slashed the tire to heck and back. The said i got lucky it didnt happen when i was driving, speed limit is 55 on the road i was on. i wish i had pictures of the tire but i mean it looked nasty you would swear someone took a knife or something and slished the whole tire there was no spot left un slashed pretty much. I was so shaken up though i just didnt go to school.

Since I've been a mechanic (including night time break down emergencies) for a taxi company, I could probably bore your pants off with so many road side stories... But then, after 7.5 years of work and now 5 years off the job, only the bizarre and hilarious stay in your mind.
But yeah, a flat tire can scare you to death if you're going fast when it happens.

I guess my worst driving story was when I swerved trying to avoid hitting a bird, while I was going way too fast on a gravel road. Took out a fence, part of a cornfield, two of my tires, a brake line and gave my friend whiplash. But, the bird escaped unscathed!
Ever been hit by a blue tit when driving around 100 with a motorcycle? *Clunk!*. One of the most unpleasant things that have ever happened to me. Even worse, it was straight in the face. It took DAYS to get all the blood out of the helmet, and even after that it smelled of decomposing meat, so I had to get a new one.
I'm fine, by the way, it wasn't a very dangerous bus accident. We just slowly drifted off of the road. At most, it hurt like when you tip backwards on a chair, and fall down. One of my friends wasn't so lucky. He was sitting next to someone with a few packages. He got stuck fr an hour before someone thought of the brilliant idea to just adjust the seats in front of him so he could just crawl out, instead of trying to get the packages out first.

Eeew, Sat. Sorry for your friend there.
My bus story for you all:
I'm in France, right, with my school because it's a spend spring break in France for cultural immersion. We're off to some place or another, when there's this loud THUDBOOM! The bus leaps into the air, taking everyone into it and causing all of us to jump, it crashes down, and we keep driving. There's this loud RRRRRRR kind of sound, and the bus is vibrating, thudding, and it's tilted slightly. This is on the highway. We keep going, vibrating and thudding, and finally, we pull off, spend the next two hours, in the sun, in France, with a bunch of middle schoolers whose french is equal to a two year olds, with a broken bus.
We played Mafia.

closest iv got is someone hitting our car a year ago.he came around the corner, messing with his cellphone, and slammed our car hard enough to push it into the yard across the street from our neighbors.
it missed their mailbox, their cars, their house, and didnt mess up their lawn somehow.
still ran despite the front passenger side of the hood being crunched up.we could have fixed it to if his insurance hadnt gone behind our backs and declared it totaled without seeing if we wanted to keep it first.
creepy part is if we hadnt gone for our nightly walk early he probably would have run us over.and a few minute sooner he would have pushed our car into the neighbors and their son as he was leaving in his truck...
