Halftail's Plagued Wolf

I need a name for this little guy right here.
Y'all must think me insane. At the tiny level of 10, I had to run all the way to Elwynn to get this puppy.
Through Stranglethorn.
Yeah, died halfway in. But at least I got my pet, thanks to a nice spirit run to the Spirit Healer in Northshire!
Anyways, I'm looking for a name that'll fit Halftail's. Like... Broken[insert name of bodily part here] or Rot[insert something here].
I've never had this much trouble naming a pet, but seeing as my server seems to have an obvious lack of
Certificate of Ownership's, I don't want to mess his name up and then have to run all the way back to get a new wolfy... -Cringes at thought-
(And I noticed something just now... I must be mental, but am I the only one who sees a Joker-esque grin on my wolfy's face from this angle?

)

Hmm, just some various names with that structure:
Rotpaw
Gorefang
Plaguetail
Festersnout
Blightpaw
Mortfang
And so on... ^^

I'd make a DK, spec unholy, and mount, dismount, mount and so forth to check for a nice ghoul name. They are funny, and often quite good.
(And I have yet to see Hammerdrinker Ryno...)

Oooh I like Blightpaw. The first name that popped into my head was Brokentooth, but that's
taken... How about Gorefang?

Haha, I actually do have a DK. I may actually do that, if Blightpaw doesn't out-do them on the "do want" scale.

Hmmm... Muckfur?
Stainclaw?
Leakyside(Their guts are practically hanging out, aren't they? It's been a while..)
Hmm..You could easily make a case for him being blind..Can't think of a blind-name.
Spiderbreath(Not much else in the plaguelands-Rotting bears, zombies, dirt..)
Squishy?
That's all I've got.

I tamed one of those guys as a test wolf, to see which skin I liked best. If I had kept him, his name woulda been Maggotpaw. <3

Had a plagued wolf on a long-since retired horde hunter. I called it Dirtnap, as in "He's taking a dirtnap" Always like that name for the dead-looking pets

Haha, I actually like that!
So now it a tie between:
Dirtnap
Blightpaw
Taboo (This name came to me during my fifth period in school. Must've looked insane when I bolted into a ram-rod straight position from a sulky one during the teacher's instructions.)

I know you have already set you mind on 2 names, however when nameing pets I normally like them to be somthing a bit more original, yet fitting.
Noramlly I take two relevant words I like the look of, and try and combine them though similar sounding sylables or joins.
Some examples for you puppy would be;
Decaynine [decay+canine]
Houndeath [hound +death]
Mongruel [mongrel+gruel]
Blightyke [blight+tyke]
Plagurowl [Plague+growl]
Wolfester [wolf+fester}
Ect.

Wow, Decaynine is an awesome name! I'm totally going to steal that for when I make an Undead Hunter and tame a zombie wolf. :3

I had a wolf named Brokenmaw once. It was one of the Saber Worgs, so it made more sense.
I always liked the name Lackjaw. Dunno why, it just sounds nice.
Mangetooth
Manglefoot
Sourclaw
Moldface
Fungusfoot

Hehe, be my guest, am happy to help.
Just let me know if you have any other beasts you plan on taming and naming too. I plan on rolling an undead hunter with plenty of complimentary pets.

So I thought Blightpaw was going to win me over, right? WRONG!
I told some of my Wow-addicted friends about my puppy naming problem and what do they do? Make a whole written list of names that take up five pages!
Alot of them caught my attention, some of them already being mentioned on here, but one caught my attention the most and I squee'd while my friends laughed.
I shall call him Graverobber.
And he shall be mine.
And he shall be my Graverobber. cx
