WoW Petopia Community

So I've been one of those on-off WoW players for a couple years now. Most of the reason why I have cancelled my subscription in the past is because of the guilds I have joined. I feel a little sick to my stomach that if I wanted to raid I'd generally have to be with crude, sexist and immature members. I know this is a common problem in WoW and guilds in general.

Long story short I've been lurking and reading all of these posts and it makes me homesick for the old WoW I knew when people were slightly nicer and had some respect.

Can you recommend some servers that seem to have a good population of nice players? Horde or Alliance would do.

Come to the dark side Cenarion Circle. Azu kitty will provide you with not poisonous, kitten shaped cookies, long as you aren't a gnome. Then they might be poisoned...

I'll have to second the petopians servers. Great, great folks.

Aside from that, my main server is great - Ysera-US. I'm alliance side mostly, so I know that side better, but both are decent as long as you ignore trade. Raid pugs are alright (at least 6/12 in a night from what I see) and there's a lot of community policing when it comes to loot disputes and such. Most importantly, I've hardly ever run across jerks. If you want more info, feel free to PM me or make a toon and whisper Sarayana from <The Exodus> (or anyone else as I'm often on an alt; they'll let you know).

Edit: I forgot to say, the most important thing for me is that the kind of misogynistic behaviour you described really only exists in the most hardcore raiding guilds on the server. The ones I'm familiar with - ranging from very casual to hardcore - are majorly supportive of their female players and most raids will have a large proportion of women, judging from vent. I haven't heard a sexist joke/comment from anyone I've ever raided with, and it always shocks me when a cross-server pug does something like that because I guess Ysera shelters me from it.

Same! Can't beat the folks in this guild.

I know on my server, my guild is actually got a lot of married folks in it with kids and stuff, so it's pretty mature...tho several members have kinda fallen off the map due to RL issues.

Wyrmrest Accord is always a possibility. We don't have very good progression, but the community is much better.
