Yes, the Alliance Guild Lion Mount is gorgeous. And no doubt the Horde Guild Scorpion will be too.

But there's going to be a little bit of work needed to get them. At least the Lion one.

For a guild to get the Lion they must have the Dungeon Diplomat Achievement that requires the guild to be exalted with Therazane, Wildhammer Clan, Guardians of Hyjal, Knights of the Ebon Blade, Kirin Tor, The Sha'tar, Honor Hold, Shattered Sun Offensive, Ramkehan, The Earthen Ring, The Wyrmrest Accord, Argent Crusade, Lower City, Cenarion Expedition, Keepers of Time, and the Argent Dawn.

Given that some of these factions are neutral to the Horde, and the Dragonmaws will be the faction Horde players have while Alliance have the Wildhammer Clan faction, the achievement will probably be the same for the Horde.

Since I have toons on both sides, I've got alot of faction grinding to do.

Does that mean everyone in the guild needs to be exalted? Ouch! And how would that even be possible?

I think it means that the guild must have exalted rep with each of those factions on at least one member each.

like one guy with Wildhammer and another with Kirin'tor etc

Could you explain this a in a little more detail please. Do you just have to be in a guild and exalted with these guys, or does everyone in the guild have to be exalted, or what. The scorpid mount has my attention.

From posts I've read on *MMO-Champ and World of Raids the achievement works as Magnakilro mentioned: One member of the Guild needs to be exalted with one faction while another Guildie needs be exalted with another.

So when you think about it, it really isn't all that difficult I'm sure.
It's not all about the work of the individual, but the group, which is what the guild achievements where made for. So say you only have one reputation at exalted, you'd chipped in your bit. If you wanted to help more you could work towards another rep. And the nice thing about this is, because it doesn't just benefit you now, but also the whole guild, your guildies will prolly be much more interested in helping out.

I'm hoping this will be the case when cata comes out and my guild wants "We are Legendary" so they'll wanna come with me on Sunwell runs for the Stars Fury :>

That's not too bad then...I got most of those (that are currently in game) at exalted already.

My Hunter is exalted with all the Wrath dungeon reps and all, but one BC rep. (Keepers of Time, although I'm very close to exalted) .-. Does that count toward the guild achievement?

That's not as bad as it sounds. If only one person per guild has to be exalted, and one person can count toward multiples....it's very doable.

Well, good start for my druid, she's exalted with all the vanilla/bc/wotlk dungeon factions

But, yeah, that's what it sounds like to me too. Really, that's not that hard of a requirement, either.

Ahhh, looks like its time to farm the good old rep...wonder whats the quickest way to do that...got all the WoTLK dungeons, go tabards go!! to bad they dont have those for old world...

But how/where do you get rep for these ones: Therazane, Wildhammer Clan, Guardians of Hyjal, Shattered Sun Offensive, Ramkehan, The Earthen Ring?

As for getting the mount: I think you might hafta buy it after meeting the requirements.

I'll also assume that the mount will require a certain amount of guild rep as well, or else there will be a sudden rush of people joining a guild nabbing the mount and leaving.

It most likely will but I don't think it'll be anything hard. Most of those reps listed will not be achieved by most newer guilds. Guilds that raided since Vanilla will have a very easy time getting this mount (which inside I am jumping for glee for, we have about all (if not all) those save for the obviously new ones). The challenge is in the rep since there isn't many guilds still around that can reach that rep level and still have those rep'd members XD

Either way SO glad Alliance is getting lion. If I was Horde, I'd cry.

Probably not. It looks more like you'll have to buy the lion. According to MMO-champion it has a price.
