Looking for an artistic favor - Orca Whales

Hey there everyone, I had small favor to ask the artistically inclined if anyone had the spare time.
A friend of mine is getting married and for the cake topper they wanted a particular symbol of two Orca Whales leaping up to touch noses and forming a heart shape. The problem is there doesn't seem to be any such image and in order to get it specially made they need a drawing of it. Apparently there's tons of dolphin heart artwork like this, but none of orcas.
I figured I would check here for them to see if anyone felt adapt at marine animals and wanted to give it a try. ^^ It doesn't have to be anything detailed, in fact it probably doesn't even need colour. I believe they just need the linework to base off of.
Anyways, no worries if not!

Just thought I'd check. ^^

OMG! A wedding! Wish them joy from me! :D
I'll try drawing them, but it'll probably look horrendous. xD

Okay, here it is. It's very quick and sloppy work. It doesn't even look like a heart!

Hmm, I'd be happy to try out. Just one question... Looking at pictures of orcas, how exactly CAN they form a heart? XD I can't seem to imagine then forming anything more than an ellipse.
Edit: Damn, Saturo is good... You have a tablet or something?

Indeed. xD They're not really graceful enough, like dolphins. If you want a heart, you have to violate some anatomy. D:

Unless it would be made so that the sprouts coming out of their breathing holes in the back made a heart... But then they wouldn't be kissing.

Aw, thanks Saturo!

I'll send them any that are made here and then they can have a selection to choose from.
I agree the orcas would probably have to be stylized to get that shape, heehee. I imagine something along the lines of this:

Hmm, will see what I can do once I've installed all the necessary drivers for my tablet.

I think what you need to do is go for something a little stylised, rather than anatomically correct.
That said, I'm willing to try something for ya.
How big do you need it, and when do you need it by?
(and congratulations on the happy couple

)

I imagine something similar to Saturo's in size would be ideal, I don't think it has to be huge, but that seems like a good size to go from.

The wedding's in January, but since it takes time to get something custom made she said that the sooner the better.
Thanks again everyone, she's going to be so happy to see a variety. ^_^

I do have an idea how they could abide by anatomical laws and still make a heart. If I could draw it...
I might try, but hopefully someone else can get it done before I make an attempt!

I admit, I had to cheat a bit by looking for pictures and tracing some of the basic outlines - otherwise all my attempts would turn out looking like some mutation between a herring and a banana. <.<
They're not kissing, but there IS a heart! XD

That's adorable Makoes! I like the little splash at the bottom, and they really do form a heart.

I did the half heart form against the crease and drew one orca, then did the fold'n rub to imprint the orca clone on the other side, and used a ballpoint pen to outline, then free hand drew the splay to give a bit of motion. Though I think I will try to redraw it. Looking at it now I dont really like the tails, and I forgot the white spot by the eyes. Guess I should have has a reference picture when I tried drawing them. My memorys fuzzy lol.
***Edit***
And here is the redo of the previous picture (I like it better)

I gave it a shot too. I got all excited tho and did it before reading the part about there not needing color....(why I often get lost on quests as well lol) So if you like it and need a black and white one just let me know. Everyone's looks great they'll have a lot of ideas to go off of. (so jealous of makoes splash idea at the bottom

) Have fun at the wedding and grats to the happy couple.

Oh how cool Bulletdance! Aww, I feel bad that you went and coloured it, but it looks really great! I don't think it matters, coloured or not.

Making a heart out of the fins instead of the body shape is so neat.
Haha, man I'm so excited to send all of these to my friend. She's going to be off the wall. ^_^
