~ Final question, does it cost anything to get more stable slots? Anyone from BETA have to pay to get more slots available past the first 5?

It's on the PTR right now, that patch will definitely land before Cata. Surprisingly, it seems that they're implementing the class changes without the landscape changes. If it goes through as it is on the PTR right now, that means that we'll have our 25 stable slots while stile having the current pets available. Any rare spawns you might want to tame before Cata (because they're rare, not 'cause their skin is disappearing - I'm thinking of Clutchmother, Araga, and Azzere, none of whom seem to be in Cata) you should be able to get after the patch launches on live servers.

This could obviously change, I don't know if the full patch is on the PTR yet or if they're planning to add more for testing.

I feel bad I can't even think of 20 more pets I want. Ok maybe I can think of like 3-4 more colorations but really not much XD

I'm planning on just going for some rares, like Sara said, I wouldnt mind Clutchmother, Crusty the Crab, The one rare Turtle in Azshara in the cave, Rakshiri, Araga, Nuramoc again (even though I find him a bit ugly ~ in a sort of good way), OCJ, and my old first hunter pet Timber.

I'm sure more are thinking similar here too.

I'll probably grab Rak'Shiri, Shy Rotam and OCJ. Yup that's probably it XD

I can't wait for this patch! I want to tame some new pets. Though I'm worried it will take a while since there will be a lot of new mechanics in there that need testing...like the fail eclipse model. Instead of standing in one place waiting to cast a different spell we can stand in one place filling a bar waiting to cast a different spell....sigh.

Yes I imagine it will be quite a tame-fest when this patch comes out. I wish Blizz would hurry up and give a proper run over of pets soon so I can better plan my 25. I've already had a bunch of changes to my list since I posted it up in that other thread

I think i'll wait till cata hits before i go on a tameing hunt as there may be a skin that i'd want that only shows up after cata.

There are a few I already know I want, so those I'll definitely tame right away (Trachela and a grey spiky raptor will be retames, for example), but I agree that there's no point in filling the 25 slots before we have access to the new Cata families.

I'm probably not going to fill all 20 new slots right away anyway, but having the option open is definately something I'm looking forward to.

Yeah I think i've cleared up about 6 or 7 slots for cata only releases

I'm sad I dropped the Wasp Queen, but I had to have room for a spider for my arena team. Oh well, I still have my Ooze Crocalisk.

The Wasp Queen is tameable again in Cataclysm, so you can get her back. ^^

One of my first stops will be Winterspring to get Rakshiri and my polar bear back. It would have been Azuremyst to get the Kurken, but I already got him back.
Then my blue silithid and armored boar, Outlands for my warpie and spore bat, Northrend for my white worg and ice serpent. Then, I might think about camping some rares, maybe OCJ. But, more than likely, I'll just keep things open to see what Cata brings.

So, eight returning pets, right off the bat, that I'm eager to get back. Leaves me room to test out plenty of new and old pets.

Same for me.

The first thing I do is tame Uhk'loc and Rak'Shiri again.Then tame a blue windserpent and red tiger from zg because its gone in cata.Always wanted to tame a boarhttp://www.wow-petopia.com/look/boarskinyellow.html from the taurens starting area but never had the place for it.

Maybe try to tame King Krush and The Beast.

I want that green tiger to but have to wait for cata i guess.
