so i need to vent yet again xD
*RANT*
well i got my car back and got the check to fix it but as i find out it is super hard to find parts for a 1993 honda civic anymore. its gonna cost at least 1k or more to get it fixed and even at that... its can take a seriously long time to get the parts. So now i am stuck in a pickle... keep the car and attempt to fix it, and attempt to sell it after and most likely only get like 1k back on it since people are lame out here in cali and want to low ball people alot. at least the ones i always seem to get email from >.< i have been trying to sell it as is, for a pretty low price for what has been put into the car but no dice and i been trying to look for a car and no dice. i just want to but a new laptop with the money i got since... my lovley son messed mine up and it cant be fixed and the warrenty is out of date xD but if i did that and keep my car and slowly fixed it up i would NEVER here the end of it. *facesmash* i just dont know what to do nothing seems to be working out for me. and i also want a new laptop since i am FINALLy gonna be taking college classes again some online and some at the local college YAY welding... yes ima chick and weld and i like it. Also taking a auto body class but sadly cant even take my car for it because the window dont roll up and well i really dont want it broke into again. lol and for the classes i am taking they really recoommend a laptop. and mine is about caput i am just so torn.

sorry for that i just reallly need to vent that. these past few months have been the pits.

ohhh soldering is fun too we learned a bit back in my high school class when the floral desgin class took over the main welding room xD. im so torn cause i know if i get a laptop. this what what ill here *clears throt*

Aww dang. Sounds like it's really raining right now.

When we had our accident in our old Toyota, we talked to the insurance company, and they decided they'd rather have our car scrapped and pay us the 'value' of the car, which we then put towards a new car. Wasn't much, obviously, but it was within their discretion to do so and it did help us find a more reliable car and not have to deal with repairs... Is it possible your insurance company would do that? I haven't heard all the details, they're helping pay for the repairs right?

well they paid for the repairs but its gonna still cost a nice chunk out of my pocket and can take over a month to just get the parts alone. I went and got a laptop but the guilt of not using the money to get a new car has been eating at me so much i didnt sleep so im returning the laptop and gonna pray to god i can find a car for the wholesome 900 i got for damages since noone in my house can really help right now

Ouch. $900 for that kind of damages sounds low. Perhaps try telling them that the parts are pricier than that... I know, I know, insurance agents are trained to keep the company's expenses as low as possible, but they might need to adjust their pay-out, depending on the details of your contract.

i tried but they wont budge.and as sad as it is cars out here are so expensive even ones that look worse then mine gor for liek 1500 so so torn i love the new laptop i got but.. i feel like im being selfish using the money to get it and not fix the car or get a new car even though finding one is like finding a needle in a hay stack

If youre really going back to school, then in my opinion the lap top is totally justified. Can you make due with your car as it sits right now? If not, then keep pounding the ads and the pavement for another car. It will show up.

yeah i have to wait for winter classes to start but that isnt to far away. well me adn my fiance figured it all out what im gonna do is keep the laptop and im just gonna buy the controls for the ac/heat ( like 161 bucks) and install it myself since its really easy. so i guess its a kinda win win situation, my fiance knows how much i love my car to death. so im pretty happy, cause it never dawned on me to install the part myself xD even though i have done everything to the car ( ie install headlights, bondo the cracks, bondo and fiber glass the holes and gashes) so now i also have something to help occupy the time while my son is asleep or we are bored. my son "fixes" the rims on my car alot lol.

ty me too, i was really stressing bad trying to figure out what to do, i couldnt sleep and i have sore on my head from scratching it. i scratch my heah when i get mad, stressed or any of that stuff and now to download wow onto the new laptop it had like 29 min left till patch 3.2 was done but idiot me stopped it cause i was gonna take the laptop back..

mm hmmm! lol i like tryin to fix things myself first cause, it saves you money if you can do it yourself and not have to take it in xD no matter it be computer, car etc
