I feel a thorough beating with the nerf bat coming on in response to a flood of crying on the official wow forums. Anyone else?

THis feels like a fixed fight to me. Cunning pallies spreading their foul propaganda to get us nerfed, you wait...

Ret pallies are VERY VERY unhappy that they actually have to build up their attacks; they can't just 1-2-3 people anymore. This had led to much hilarity. I consider this payback for how friggin' overpowered they were in 3.0.

Seriously, though, the pally is standing there eating the damage from the pet. Resilience does jack at this stage. He isn't even attempting to kite the pet or, y'know, BUBBLE to avoid big red. It's a DPS PET, not a PvP one. I agree that this is a put-up-job. I call bs.

Thankfully, it usually takes Blizz more crying than this before they pull out the nerf bat. Unless it's on of their favorite classes.

If this does result in a BM nerf, there's always EVE Online.

I hope you're not seriously of the opinion that this or any other video caused a nerf to BM's damage. And how can anything be considered a nerf/buff when it hasn't even been released live and is still in beta? It's balancing in this case.

Kill Command was blatantly overpowered. Better they nerf it now than later (remember what happened to Ret Paladins/DKs who were overpowered in the WotLK beta after 3.0?).

Yeah, I'd rather see the fine tuning done now than later, after we're really used to it.

The thing that irks me is not "balancing". The thing that irks me is the QQ in the forums and now even YouTube for Hunter nerfs. What happens on release? People remember that video, assume BM is still OP, and QQ more for nerfs. And if the sea of tears is large enough, Blizz listens.

Also, since we are one of the classes that scale the worst when coming to damage, I'm always concerned about damage reductions before we even get started.

A 61% reduction in damage from Kill Command is not fine tuning, that's a blunt club upside the head.

Kill Command is supposed to be the BM special now, right? Well it looks to be hitting for 40% of what it used to. Hello bottom rung of damage. Considering the additional nerf to Killing Streak (getting to be a very weak talent now) and the nerf to pet focus regen.

So if the reports of 20k crits from KC were accurate, those high crits should now be about 7k.

And that pally is probably dancing in the streets.

If the LK pattern holds, 9 months from now they'll realize BM hunters are bottom rung and give us a half-ass buff and promise to fix us in the Emerald Dream expansion.

And ever since they've had a "don't nerf me bro" complex, while becoming massive QQers themselves.
