I have 4.0, but...

..There's nothing different. I had it downloaded via the background downloader, on Thursday.

No added stable slots, nor 5 pets on my hunter only/whatever was supposed to come with 4.0 ...or have I gotten confused, and those things will come with the next patch? @.@

Has anyone else had this happen (via Background Downloader) or something else? Oh, when I saw the notification, I just logged in, the logged out to let it run while I did other things.

*If anyone thinks this: No, it wasn't a hack or anything, it was just Blizz's standard backrgound Dwonloader: Big BLIZZARD word, and the progress bar on it.

(Oh, I have no clue as to where this would go. Nor if this has been posted already ^.^')

I am in the exact same boat as you...., but I'm kinda clueless about how this all works.

You aredownloading the data for the patch, that way you already have the data available for when the patch goes live. It makes things go smoother for patchdays. Stable slots and 4.0 changes will not actually be changed until 4.0 goes live in the next patch.

We only just got 4.0.1 on the PTR, it's not ready to go live. The part you downloaded is stuff like landscape and sound files, stuff that's not changing. On patch day, we'll get another download (smaller because of this initial download) that will have all the new stuff.
