Does the login screen have a dragon that screams at you every ten seconds? Either it hasn't been released yet, or no one on YouTube thinks it's important enough to make a video of.

Ok, that's not that important...

But still! Vanilla had a peacefully swirling portal with no loud noises. Burning Crusade had the same portal, just with a green demonic tint to it. And then for the last two years that efing Lich King dragon has been alternating between doing Top Gun style flybys and roaring it's head off! Ive been racing to log in as quickly as possible since it came out, just so that bone bag doesn't get a chance to make any noise.

So far? No. It looks like a remake of the BC one. The login screen stuff is last minute additions anyway so that could change.

You can turn down the sound you know....o.o;

Yes, I'm just generally doing something else that requires sound on, like Teamspeak.

Thanks for the info though. Hopefully we won't have another two years of a dragon roaring at us.

You can make it so that it wont play the sound if wow is minimized. It's in your interface under Sound.

As far as I've read, the login screen is back to the old vanilla one, but with different music

At this stage anyway. There'll probably be a new one closer to Cata release I guess

The login screen is the original WoW login screen, not TBC one. TBC was the dark portal with the many moons of Outland behind it. Original WoW's screen looked similar, but looked more...pleasant.

And yes, this is probably your login screen. like 99.5% sure. We're returning to the Old World, thus its only appropriate we do so in Login as well.

I remember I was waiting for something.. and i turned on WotLK and laid down on my bed.. i started drifting off to sleep and then Sindragosa.. is that who it is? Well.. let's just say the big noisy dragon growled and i woke up immediately in a slight panic.

I don't think it's Sindragosa, and definitely not Sapphiron. Both of those dragons are massive, way more massive than the "fence" near the cliff suggests that dragon is. I think it's just Frost Wyrm Peon #451 XD

But yes, it scared me too first time I heard it.

It is Sindragosa. Trust me...I've fought her. Plus she was the one in the cinematic. I'm pretty sure this was confirmed a long time ago on the forums.
