Yay for more beta winterspring changes. For those looking for the Riding Tiger Aqua skin, Shy-rotam seems to no longer be tied to Sian-rotam. He now just chills under frostsaber rock (presumably for a quest). He still fears, which interrupted the first tame, but you have plenty of time to tame after the fear. Super short respawn time as well.

Sweet! That should make it easier. From your subject I was worried he wasn't appearing at all!

That's what I thought. I'll get on beta tonight and do this quest (never finished it) and see if Sian appears at all.

Ack, you know, you're right. For some reason I thought it was the other way around, since it's been awhile since I've done the quests. I'll do the quest later to find out if Sian still spawns. We have Eche still, but that could cut the availability of a white lion. O.o

Questgiver is gone. Sian did not spawn when I attacked her, then again I killed her very fast. It says she is a quest mob for something (she has a yellow ! by her name) but I cannot find where the quest giver moved or is.

Sian-rotam, for the moment, is MIA.

There's also another pet with this same ! tag, a brown owl named "Hell Hoot". I can't find a quest giver in Winterspring that has anything to do with hunting these named animals =/

Gotta kill her slowly or he won't spawn. Same problem on live, makes sense it'd still be like that on the beta.

I've had that problem on live. If you kill her too fast, Sian does not show up. Let's hope this is the case on the PTR and Beta.

Hate to say it but looks like either the NPC quest giver is MIA and/or so is Sian Rotam.

Use a worm, put it on Passive, then use Burrow Attack, it does 1, 2 or 3 points of damage only. Might take awhile but you CAN'T get any slower than that as far as killing goes!

I never had him fear me. :O He was very simple to tame.

I could try that next, I literally just let its HP tick down slowly. it acted no different beyond just fearing. =(

You might need to get her to a certain amount of health before she'll spawn him.

Did you kill her away from the srea shes at? you had to be by her summoning stone for the lion to spawn. That was always the trick to fighting her alone, drag her away from her spawn spot. Perhaps you killed her to fare away?

Tried that. Unless the req. health is like 1%. i killed her pretty slowly.

I killed her both close to where she hangs out (she doesn't spawn now) and on the "shore" of the frozen lake. I wasn't too far away.

I'm thinking either she doesn't spawn Sian-Rotam anymore OR you need to actually be on the quest for him to trigger. The questgiver is NOT in-game atm that I can find to try that out. However, considering she is now just walking around near where she used to spawn, I'm guessing she isn't that "special" and triggers a new sequence. I'll keep an eye out though.

Total side note to this conversation, but I love that whole ! name plate.

I'm really not sure. I haven't seen any other changes to Winterspring yet. It's making me Fret too. I wanted to get The Beast, but I might nab a white lion now instead.

Someone on the PTR should go check out winterspring. That way we know if its Cataclysm change or a 4.0 change. I can't PTR test cause it messes with my Beta client (no idea why).

If Echeyakee is safe does it really matter?

I know it matters on some personal level, but I mean functionally, need a white lion, head to Barrens, tame, done. It's still going to ding up to 3 under.

And i'm sure Shy-Rotam is going to be safe and this is jsut one of the many many many quest bugs due to be fixed as the beta progresses.
