Well, not a change, but the opening cinematic for a new B.Elf character has new voice-over.. and it had me in tears!

Almost all my toons are B.Elf. In the new opening cinematic, a dying Naaru sacrifices itself to re-ignite the Sunwell, bringing new hope to the Blood Elves. Very touching. I've always been attracted to stories of "self-sacrifice for the greater good".

Yeah, my guild never got to the raiding level where we got to see that whole plot unfold firsthand, so it'll be nice to get a summary.

Yeah, the Naaru M'uru sacrificing itself to re-ignite the Sunwell is what happened at the end of the Sunwell raid instance back in TBC, after you defeated Kil'jaeden who was using the Sunwell as a portal to Azeroth.
They in fact updated all the race's intros to the most recent timeline (the Lich King is dead after WotLK, Illidan, Kael'thas, Kil'jaeden and the rest got their asses kicked in TBC etc.).

Yeah thats canon to the lore. I've heard all the opening will be remade.

Now I can't wait to see it and all the other race's cinematic.

I just watched the new goblin cinematic and have to say I was a tad confused. It gave me the impression that the Goblins are not completely decided yet as to what side they will join, horde /ally?? Maybe it's just me.

It might be part of their opening quests, their alliance with the Horde. So their opening voiceover wouldn't know which side they're going to choose, since they'd be in flux.

Given that Lor'themar, like Halduron Brightwing, was one of Sylvanas' high-ranking Farstrider officers before he became the Regent Lord and Halduron the Ranger-General...he really ought to be a hunter, ought'nt he?

Not to get too political...

Knowing humans, perhaps the Human Priests from the SW Cathedral wouldnt allow Goblins to marry other Goblins, since they wanted equal rights themselves with the state, the Goblins decided to join the horde where anyone could marry anyone

Heck even necrophelia is allowed

Kalliope is pretty much spot on. The Goblins start as independent for their first few levels, but after they have to escape their home island because of an erupting volcano, their evacuation ship gets into the middle of a naval battle between horde and alliance forces, and the alliance sinks them.
