Since monday ive been experiencing hugh latency iccues. Sometimes in the area of 4-5k. When the latency is at its lowest, 300-600ms the screen freeze for several minutes at a time.
Before monday i had no trouble what so ever, so i was wondering if anyone else has the same experience? ive tried everything on the thecnical forum in order to get it to be better, but it looks like they got no clue either. The blue post even told a dude in CYpues to call his london providers

So now im asking here

I haven't, but I'm in the states and I dunno where you are (edited this, misread your post lol) so that's prolly why.
When I was at school though, I used to have a positively terrible connection, especially in the evenings. There would be tons of people trying to draw on the school's internet service and it made everyone's connection super terrible. Could the problem possibly be environmental like that? Anything happen around your area recently (like a storm or power outage or something) that could mess with your net?

I just read a post on another forum where someone had the same problem. Don't know what's causing it, but you're not the only one.
I'm in Eastern Canada, and I don't have any issues with latency like that. I have noticed lag from time to time lately, but I don't know if it can simply be ascribed to a crowded server or my ISP.

Try doing a Speed test and seeing what you get.
Here a example of mine.

I pay for thirty-two down. We got fiber up here recently, and hardly any usage on it at all. I should be getting much more...

At least twice. Telia sucks. -.-

Telia is notorious for poor service in Denmark... At least that's what I hear from my family. Are any competitors available in your area?

Of course not. They have monopoly in any part of Sweden that isn't densely populated, and that's mots of it. INCREDIBLY bad service.

Yeah I know, I was kinda hoping you'd be in one of the areas that are more populated... Too bad. ... You could always raise a stink. I know that's more of a Danish thing than Swedish (recent events come to mind *cough Pia Kjærsgaard cough*) but it might help...

What would one complaint matter? Everyone here has a connection, but nobody is smart enough to realize that no, 32 MB/s is NOT that slow.

I guess you could take that attitude. My attitude is that I pay for proper connection, they promise me proper connection, and they're breaking our contract. If they won't rectify it, I'll have to speak with the ombuds office. Then they'll have to deal with the authorities and face the potential of having to repay me for the difference between the promised service and the delivered service. *shrug* That's what I'd do.

Actually, you might be paying for up to 32 MB/s. If you are, they are still keeping their end of the bargain. That's how it is with my provider, NextgenTel. But they have 2-3 competitors, so their service is pretty good.
Anyway, read the fine print on your contract. Big companies love to sneak in little loopholes.
But there's always the option of raising a big stink, like Sara suggested. Just poke any consumer papers/magazines, local papers, regional papers, reader's letters , etc.. Word of mouth can be a pretty powerful tool. ^^
Not to mention that other providers might see business opportunities and start offering alternatives (long shot, but you never know..)

Of course they offer up to 32. Every company here does, I'm assuming it's the same everywhere. But the fine print says "within reasonability", which means that they are at most allowed to give 40% less.

I doubt they will spend all the money to expand their services up here to get at most a thousand more customers (per area), when they could focus on places like Stockholm and Göteborg.

I don't have much lag myself, maybe a small one in Dal, but not a ton.
I once saw my latency go up to 1000, but that was months ago.

It could be better, but I'm connected via wireless through my laptop (have no PC), maybe that's why. ^.^'

That is still 20 mb/s a far cry from 5mb/s

I'll have to check that Speedtest when I get home. I usually have good latency and the only times when I lag is when there's a bunch of people in one spot or when my sound effects are on. The only type of sound effect that doesn't affect my latency is my Music. However, when I am out in the middle of nowhere when I am alone, I don't get much lag at all even when I have sounds and voices turned on.
There has been very rare times where I get latency at very high levels, but I think it's sometimes due to someone else's latency. It's just what the hanging flabby fat of latency can do.

I've been getting Latency recently. I don't know how recently, but, yeah. And I don't keep track of how long I have the bad/yellow Latency for either. But it fluctuates between me having good Latency and yellow/bad Latency. I don't know what the problem is.
