I'm betting that 4.0.1 is coming soon, not this Tuesday (I won't be surprised if it does), but next Tuesday. Your thoughts.....

I'm placing bets on 4.0 this coming Tuesday, the 28th. If its not then, it'll def be the next Tuesday, but I'm like 75% sure it'll be this coming Tuesday.

Why?
FFXIV launches that week for the regular edition of the game and in true Blizzard fashion, a major patch will launch the same week. Plus look at how already all 3 stages of 4.0 are on the downloader already? And extended maintenance for some realms this coming Tuesday? All signs point to 4.0 is go. XD

The only reason I say next Tues is because people are saying blizzard needs to announce the end of the arena season, and after that the patch will come in two weeks.

Well it could be that. But I think the extended maintenance was because of the terrible lag. I play on Moon Guard and the lag and lat was a terrible problem.

As far I care, 4.0 is coming out onto the live servers really soon, like MMO-Champion has said. with 3 pre-downloads of it already out. I so, so can't wait for it!

This Tuesday is only rolling restarts for a bunch of realms though. Of course that doesn't mean they aren't putting out the patch, they've done that in the past. ... in fact, that might explain the rolling restarts on the realms they aren't taking offline.

Not this week.. rolling plus server work. Possible the week after.. (and I'll be gone the whole week, dangit!) Hopefully the week after that..

The 4.0.1 PTR is pretty FUBAR though. If they push out the patch now, it's going to fly like a bag full of hammers.

After all, they did pull of the lead balloon...

It's possible. Blizzard has been known to surprise us. I'm not sure if it's this Tuesday, but I would say the next might be the highest bet.

I think it's still to early. They just put out another build to the PTR today.

As has every major patch...

What I'd like to know is whether we get some new pets to play with? Not all of them,of course,as some are tied to the geography of the land (the crabs in Blasted Lands,and the Serpents in Thousand Needles,just to name the ones off the top of my head.),but what about the Foxes,or the Hive Queen?

Blizz is giving us hunters our Focus Energy and our Stables...can we have a few pets to play with,or must we wait?

And on topic.I'm voting next week. Maybe.

We're now looking at October 12th. That is when the current arena season ends but it doesn't begin again until Cataclysm.

When 4.0.1 hits will there be the 25 slots for hunter pets then? Just curious.

Or will we wait till Cata for the 25 slots

Technically we get 24 slots because our 5th active pet slot is unlocked at a higher level. But, yes, we do get our bigger stable with 4.0.1.

Ahh so at lvl 80 you'll have 4 active pet slots and the 5th at lvl 85?

Either way then you still have the bank of 20 stables right?
