Skoll, Skoll, & Skoll?

So recently with little time invested, thankfully, I got my Skoll on my 2nd hunter; well flying over to Sholazar for the fishing daily, I see Skoll at Bor's Breath, so I let folks know in guild...

Hunt: I want him I'm headin' over
Me: sure I'll watch em then pop em in case someone gets close
"Hunt gets over tames, & just as he's finished taming three people show up out of no where ready to kill Skoll"


Later the following week....

Another guildie hunt mentions her interest in Skoll, is lookin' for Skoll, & wants em before Cata; so I give her my Skoll Timer list with at least a 3hr window, & go floating around Storm Peaks at 2a server, lo' & behold there is Skoll at southern Snow Drift Planes cave exactly where I tamed em on my 1st hunt, I spam my guildie buddy, nothin', talk to another guildie in g-chat about how this guildie should get over here to tame her Skoll.

3 Paladins stop & kinda look at me & I bet thinkin "?????", while Skoll is chompin away, & I say: "please don't kill waiting on a guildie to tame."

10 minutes later.......she really had something important to do.

Guildie shows up & gets her Electro-Wolfy ^^

Wow, you've been busy! I saw a Skoll's Fang of something-rather in the AH today, and cried a little inside. I know people can do what they will with rares and such, but when he's not part of an achievement and the loot doesn't sell for much, it's sad. Maybe that's just because being a hunter has made me more sensitive to those types of things.

I saw a Skoll's Fang of something-rather in the AH today, and cried a little inside.

lol, I had killed Loque recently (I needed him for the achievement ok, no hate? xP) and got the cloak (I think) off of him, I gave it to a guildy who was leveling an alt and told her that the cloak will make hunters cry.

Funny story about rares:

So, my first Krush attempt, he died and I sadly picked up the ring. (He was tagged.) Amazingly, it had haste on it. Meaning it was useful. So I add it to my set. A week after, I'm flying around, and I see Loque. Now, it's really early, no one is about, and the two hunters I pestered where silent. So I killed him. The cloak? Had haste on it. Added THAT to the set.

So, ironically, the items from Krush and Loque helped me get Krush. I like to say I was using their essences to fulfill my needs. /nod

Wow, a triple Skoll party. Congrats to your guildies for their tames. I am glad the pallies were considerate enough to let the third one slip by for your guildie.

I have to admit, I have killed Skoll once...

BUT! I spammed general in the zone first, and I asked in my guild first, plus I waited until someone else in the zone asked their guild. Once I was for certain no one wanted him, I took him out for the loot. I am sure there was someone out there who hated me when they saw the loot for sale, but I can't say I feel guilty about it, since I DID ask first.

I've killed Arcturis once, after asking around and no one wanted him. I did feel guilty about it later, but at least the item went to the GB.

Was just flying around Storm Peaks and checked up on Skoll's usualy spawn point only to find him dead ....

Funny you mention Skoll, I came across another Alliance hunter yesterday (my hunter is ally) who was having a very hard time to tame Skoll. I guess they were confused and kept running out of mana and I guess they kept forgetting they technically still had a pet out.

I took pity on her and kept throwing frost arrows to help keep skoll trapped, and I had to bandage her a couple times. In the end she ended up taming Skoll, so I was happy for her.

I laughed thinking about all the times I could have stolen her tame... (probably like 4 or 5) ~ Good thing I'm not a jerk like potentially another passer-byer could have been.

Hey guys, new to the forums but I've been reading them for a couple months now. This caught me off guard, what happens to Skoll after Cata? I'm only lvl 47 atm so this is concerning to me.

Nah Vexing, she just wanted Skoll before Cataclysm kinda like a goal... nothing's happening to him.
