Shale Spiders Fixed

So.. I've had a chance to get on the beta on a friend's account, and managed to break the Hunter by having a Shale Spider out.
After downloading the newest patch today, I was surprised to see that I could target and log the Hunter with no problems. ^^ So it seems the Shale Spiders no longer crash the Beta, making them safe for taming.

I'm glad you had a chance to play with the beta. It's a great shame a few of you guys who do so much work for this site, didn't get invites

hmm didn't even know they were causing trouble but then again the better half is always on the pally so am still waiting to get my inv for the beta so i can go nutters wif my huntar

It was fine as long as you didn't log off with one as your active pet. But the problem was it was a risk using a shale spider at all, because one crash and you'd be stuck with it on your login screen and then *boom* you could be out of the game for days. I got caught like that, but then was lucky when I tried to load the client on Mac and it brought up the crash reporter, but didn't close the game. So even though it freaked out, it let me in to stable the pet

Awesome news! I accidentally got my higher level hunter stuck about a week ago, and am totally happy to get to play her again.

My hunter is bugged again right now, WoW freezes upon entering the world when I get on him. It happened for the first few days after the last build too. I'm hoping the vanishing pet issue is fixed too.

I am glad of this - I inadvertantly tamed (and then the client crashed) a shale spider... which of course ended up in an endless crash loop!
Could get on again today!
Apart from it then decided to lock up at log on... sigh.
