My friend says certain pet familys have better stats then others, but I cant find anything mentioning pet stats that isnt from a long time ago so I was wondering if this was true or not? For instance I used to tank with a rhino but my friend says that the bears and crocolisks have better stats, not just better special moves, so now I use a bear instead.

Also pets within families are the same.

Tenacity pets, besides how you spec and their talent, their stats are the same.

This goes for ferocity and cunning. A wind serpent and a dragonhawk, with their specials turned off, and specced the same will do just that, the same.

You're correct. Only thing that makes them different is their specials.

A long time ago, there were cases in some pets that had either better stats or better dps, like Broken Tooth for example, than their look-a-likes. Now, they are all the same.

And not too long ago, Tenacity pets had more armor and less damage, whereas the reverse was true for Ferocity. That was also changed.

Yeah they used to have different stats back in the day but they havent for a long time now.

Always good to double check. Your friend may have not been aware of how pets have changed the last few years.
