I heard that it will be a reward from a quest called Peacebloom vs. Ghouls. If anyone's familiar with the Plants vs. Zombies game, it's a reference to that. Also the voice actress from the game is actually providing the sounds for the Sunflower pet.

This. TotalBiscut had a video about it too, it was featured on mmochampion i think maybe last week. It looks like a really good mini-game. The sunflower is a major icon of the plants vs zombies too.

And indeed, the 3-D model viewer doesn't do this flower justice. *mainly showing how weird it looks actually in game*

Got mine last night after a fairly easy game of Peacebloom vs Ghouls. Not too shabby, it's got a cute little kid sounding girl voice when you first pull it out and occasionally it sings a little tiny bit on it's own. Mousing over and clicking on it does nothing unfortunately.
