Pet scaling

Firstly - if this has been covered before, I apologise. Please slap on wrist and direct to the right thread.

We've had figures for how pets scale with our AP, stamina and armour (with different pet talent trees) and I assume pets still benefit from 100% of our hit, as on live.

I had thought pets were also supposed to benefit from our other stats - crit and haste (I guess crit and haste are all there is now) - is this happening on Beta/PTR and, if so, does anyone have numbers?

If pets don't get any benefit from our crit/haste then as gear improves the pets, and BM spec, will inevitably become less competitive.

Frostheim from the Hunters Union did some testing and came up with these stats:

Ferocity Pet Scaling

* 42.5% of hunter attack power
* 67% of hunter stamina
* 50% of hunter armor
* 100% of hunter haste
* 100% of hunter hit

Cunning Pet Scaling

* 42.5% of hunter attack power
* 72.5% of hunter stamina
* 60% of hunter armor
* 100% of hunter haste
* 100% of hunter hit

Tenacity Pet Scaling

* 42.5% of hunter attack power
* 78% of hunter stamina
* 70% of hunter armor
* 100% of hunter haste
* 100% of hunter hit

This could always change or be a bit off for whatever reason as well but it is something for the time being.

Yeah, impeccable timing there. Same day I ask the question, Frost has already answered it :) Damn, he's good.

He also says that crit is scaling, maybe at 100%, but it's harder to test.

Interesting that the earlier AP figures don't seem to have been implemented. At the moment it looks like all pets will be doing decent DPS, no matter what family. WOuld be nice to keep that, but then it looks like ferocity pets are being made unfairly fragile. All very odd and - yes I know - very Beta.

But would be nice for cunning and tenacity pets to have a reasonable base DPS.

Yea I read a theory somewhere that they were perhaps making the DPS pretty close so if for so really odd reason you needed the buff a Tenacity pet brings it wouldnt kill your DPS in comparison.
