Non BM pets

I am leveling my hunter up right now, im 71 and i am not beast mastery as of yet. I would like to know if there are any nice pets out there (like king bangalash) that are non bm.

Plenty! In fact, most pets aren't exotic. A search on
petopia shows 1168 regular pets and 103 exotics.
Browse the site, only the following families are exotic: chimaeras, silithids, corehounds, devilsaurs, spirit beasts, rhinos, and worms. The rest of the families are yours to explore and tame.
With regards to recommendations for "nice" pets, that's entirely up to personal preference. What's nice to me isn't necessarily nice to you.

For non-BM, I'd say a spider or a hyena. Both should help your kiting quite nicely.

For lvling , right now , choose a bear .
AoE tanking .
If you need mana , grab a cunning pet . Bird of prey os good .
And for ferocity , raptors are great pets right now

You possibilities are close to endless on this one! 
Go on a taming spree and try out a bunch of different pets.
Bear, hyena, raptor are three excellent choices. Wind serpents are great to.
