and i start the quests and notice brand new worms in the mines to bad they are in the start phase and probably untamable
sorry just feelt like sharing since this is my first day on beta

Very nice! I'd seen orange gyreworms mentioned in Wowhead but I have never encountered one. I don't think there are any in Deepholm yet. It'd be a shame if they're only available in the Goblin starting area. Do you know if they were tameable?

do not know if they are tameable but i doubt it as they probably are the same state as the other of the same kind and i cant check since im to low lvl for beast lore

Ah You're probably right about that, but I was curious. Do you know if you get kicked out of the zone before you reach a level where you can use beast lore and tame other beasts?

I believe phasing changes before you are able to tame and the worms are either no longer there or all dead. I tried to see if I could tame the ones that used to be in there snd not the new gyreworms, so I couldn't say for certain if that's still the case.

Time to level up without questing to test

those worms go in the very first round of phasing. there's not enough to kill or do to get you to level 10 on the first island. it's a dirty awesome-looking tease.

Farm !!!!

It's not a matter of farming. You will run out of things that will give you xp before you reach level 10. Think about the Valley of Trials. Some of those boars were gray by 6. And Kezan is a phasing run, almost every other quest spawns and vanishes entire swaths of mobs.

i want the worm, i really do. But I don't think it's physically possible to pull it off unless those worms are still there after a whirlwind serial slaughter of the party-crashers.

er, not wanting to rain on anyone's parade, but grind to level 10 all you want - unless there are sufficient mobs to grind to level 70, then even if some cruel dev set them to tameable, worms are exotic.

(first post yay!) hmm. Is it possible to race change to goblin and do the phased quests? if so, then you may be able to tame it.

I don't think you'll be able to go back and do the initial starting quests unfortunately. You'll probably be phased out of that area completely.

^ agreed... You can reach level 321,789 in a matter of a few months by doing this...

I remember hearing somewhere that characters that race-change into worgen have to somehow get back to do the worgen starting quests, because otherwise you can't use your racials (including using human form), which you get DURING the quests. May or may not be working as intended, but if that's the case (and if you can do the same for goblins) it'd be great to go back and get pets.
