My sister usually comes home for the holidays and brings her two cats. Mandy and Winston. Mandy is the oldest and "princess" of the two cats. She literally acts like she owns the place. The first time they stayed at my new house about four years ago, Mandy, who is a black and white cat, comes trapsing into my kitchen. My sister was standing at the sink and thought she hit the lightswitch for over my sink but turned on the disposal unit. The unit made such a massive racket, a spoon had fallen down into the blades, Mandy didn't even wait to figure out what happened. For a good ten seconds, her little paws weren't even moving on the lenolium floor. She was practically running in place. When she did get a grip with her claws, she took off like The Beast was chasing her. I mean it was a black blur through my living room. Poor Mandy.

Haha I bet that was something to see. Had something like that happen with my kids but instead of running there was yelling to see what was loudest.

Just today I had something funny happen with my bird. Shes a cockatiel so I let her have the run of the cage and some perches in the living room during the day.

Today I decided to make a snack, I get a big pan out from below the counter and she sends a few inquiring chirps to me. I like to pretend that I know what shes saying so I told her I was making popcorn. She starts getting really excited with wing stretches and some flapping; then she flies into the kitchen and lands on the floor like a puppy waiting for some treats. I had recently starting popping my own corn so I had no idea that she loved it so much. It was really funny to see her react like that when I had hardly gotten the stuff ready to cook. I gave her about 5 puffs when I was done and it was reduced to a bunch of small crumbles in about 30 minutes. All the while she was making those cute little happy noises.

Also wanted to mention that she enjoys "foraging" on the floor. (that was why she landed on the floor when I started cooking) Last summer one of my kids let her out the window and she got to spend about four days outside. I guess being hungry had tough her how to feed herself lol. She never enjoyed being close to the floor before that.
