Wolf and Steed.

Overall, feeling like "Oooh, another spectral mount." except with much more sarcasm.

Mm, they aren't really my cup of tea. I don't think I'm a fan of spectral/translucent models in the game, just seem kinda meh.

Yeah, I won't be grinding rep for them. The other gear from the Tol Barad QM looks great though, so I'll be working on the faction anyway. >_<

hmm are they rep or are they purchasable from the Blizz store?

Ray can get her own FREE sparkulpony to go with Arcturis?

Tol Barad rep if I recall correctly. That's the new WG type of world pvp zone.

Edit: Here we go, this mmo-champ post has info on rep rewards (so far). Under Tol Barad they list both mounts as well as the Drake of the West Wind (yes please!!) and some very nice trinkets (don't mind if I do!).

While I really like ghostly things in the game, I find that they're starting to cross the line. For the longest time the Spectral Tiger was the only ghostly mount out there and even though I don't have one myself, I liked it that way. The uniqueness made them so much cooler. Then came the Celestial Steed (which I have and like, mind you) and for a while it was the new Bronze Drake. Now we're getting even more spectral mounts, further taking away from the original cat.

Not to mention the fact that we have a million wolves for Horde and horses for Alliance already...

I agree, Golden. There are far too many Worgs for the Horde, though I've never leveled an Alliance character up high enough to collect mounts. All the Worgs seem the same to me. Maybe if they used a regular wolf model instead of another Worg or something I'd like it much more.

*Shrug* Spectral mounts are okay. If pulled off well, I like them. The Celestial Steed (Wingy one) was okay, but pretty badly done if you look closely. These ones... Are just horrendous. There's no effort put into them, at least at this point. "Oooh, get one of the old mount models, turn it blue, and make it transparent! Add sparkles! DONE." They didn't try to reskin them at all, just slapped on a new filter...

If they made them higher quality, I might get one. But this is rather sad.

They may not be finished yet. But if they are the final product, I am disappoint.

I'd still get it, to add to my collection like the Twilight drake. Thats a horrible looking drake yet i still rolled for it......

Really quite disappointed in the mount selection in Cataclysm. For flying we get yet more drakes, and for ground what is there.. a ghost horse, reskined nightsaber.

Will get it to pad out my mount count but that is about it, my guy will remain riding his boring old vanilla Horse if this is all that we are getting.

On wowhead these were listed under flying mounts. I'd get them for the sheer hilariousness of it if they really do end up flying. But it makes me wonder if they do if the spectral tiger will also be granted flight, probably not though it would be awesome.

I dunno, I wouldn't mind one. Then again, I've never had any of the other spectral mounts, so it would be a novelty to me XD Never even TRIED to get my hands on the tiger (I don't have that kind of luck OR money) and never bought the celestial steed.

But then, I'm not a pvper either, so I'll probably never get one of these anyway XD

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't see how this detracts from the Spectral Tiger at all. If there was a mount to take from the tiger, it'd be the Celestial Steed which is all-faction just like the Tiger. The wolf and steed are both faction-specific.

Also the Wolf and Horse are not as detailed as the Celestial Steed/Tiger. They have the same transparency of the Ghost Wolf basically. Whereas the C. Steed & Tiger both have that "not as obvious square model boxes showing" textures going on.

I just wish I could get the spectral wolf so bad T-T I love the worgs!

I mean ones a damn rare card and the others a buyable thing with rep i don't see how the rep mount takes the rareness away from the card one
