This might have allready been covered but i couldnt find any previos posts about it.
Im just curious if our pets get any additional talent points at lvl 84 or maybe even 85 carrying on the trend of 1 point per 4 lvls.

They get a point at level 84

As far as I can see in ptr, there are no changes to the actual pet talent tree. I don't know about beta.

Pet talents are indeed the same mostly. Wild hunt however works alot differently. If your pet has more then 50 focus your pet does 60/120% more damage but costs an additional 50/100% more focus. Is a two point talent. Shark attack is the same, and so is the abilities such as wolverine bite, rabid, thunderstomp.

It currently seems that the talents aren't gonna play to much of a role completely when deciding the pet, as well as empowering them...of course ferocity will do more damage cause of few more damage dealing talents. Also they don't get any extra points past level 80.

Also it seems not all pets will get a dash/dive talent.

This is already true on live; tenacity pets only get charge and boar's speed.

Didn't I see someone here just the other day confirming that pets do in fact get another talent point at 84?

I do what I can to help.

Hmm..I was going off of wowheads cata hunter's pet talent calculator. Point still stands that most of the talents remain unchange =P

Pet family skills and basic pet abilities were drastically changed, in addition to the mechanics of the hunter class itself (yay focus) - changing the pet talents any more than they have been would have been overkill.
