Haven't seen any (direct, recent) posts on this yet, but by all means point me to them if I missed it; what I'm trying to figure out is if pets are still using the same talent trees in live or if they've been updated for cata (from level 10 up, that is)?

I believe they've just tweaked a few of the talents. It sounds to me like they're otherwise keeping them as is.

Hrmm... for some reason I was thinking they'd get a massive overhaul of some kind... well, okay then! Good to know.

Well it's one of the newest additions to the game, so it makes sense that they're not changing it aside from tweaking a few details.

Actually a lot of people including myself were waiting to see if dev talk at the last Blizzcon of pets being able to change talent trees and other things would materialize.

I know.. But what we want doesn't translate into what Blizz has in mind.

This came from Blizzard's own developers, hence the reason people want to find out if it ever materialized in some form, now that cata is looming large.

There hasn't been a word on the subject since then.

The big pet pass came pretty late in development, so my suspicion is that if Blizzard is still working on multiple talent trees for pets, it's probably sitting on a back burner while pet families and such are busy getting sorted out.
