Well after chatting about 'lolspider' pictures in Guild Chat, I've been told to post them so here they are. Feel free to add to the silly randomness. xD This is what I do when it's late. >.>

that first guy is so fuzzy lookin it's hard not to think he's cute... I've grown a fondness for spiddeys as of late... but I don't like when there are really big ones in the house =x

Haha I love those jumping spiders. Probably one of the few spiders that don't give me the creeps right off the bat. xD

Omg!!! Spider with laser is the most adorable thing ever!!! That's as fun as kitties with lasers!

Admittedly, I'm not that a huge of a fan of spiders. I'm not terrified of them, but I do sometimes shutter around them.

Although... Those were quite funny. =D

I just watched the videos, and that second one, the mating behaviour one, had me clapping a hand over my mouth so my laughing wouldn't wake up everyone else in the house. Good God, that little guy can hold a beat! XD

Hehe, that laser pointer one is really funny.

Tough not as funny as laser pointers and lizards.

...As much I hate spiders. I am actualy curious about them if they are behind a glass or something, but I'm jumping around about even if I see a butterfly, yes you heard right I am scared of butterflies!
These little guys are just too cute for their own good, makes me feel sorry for all the spiders that met their demise under my hands.

The mating behavior had me giggling...I really thought there was a bongo drum or a mechanical machine was in the works, but that's one interesting spider!

I ve always liked spiders, though 'cute' wouldnt be the first word I'd use to the describe them. These little guys however, are adorable.

And they eat pesky mosquitos too! Take that bunnies!

I like spiders on principle. Personal principle, even. (Warning! Graphic spider & insect talk ahead!)

I grew up in a swamp in Florida, where the roaches were so ubiquitous that I learned to check everything before I entered -- the closet, the bed, the shower, the toilet. We had these huge wolf spiders, just like the one in that Australia poster, who ate the roaches with fierce abandon. I often fell asleep to the soothing crackles of a wolf spider turning a dead roach in its legs in order to find a spot to suck the juices from. We had a rule in our house that no one killed the spiders -- which became bloody inconvenient when an egg sac hatched in my parent's shower. But we carefully showered around the little guys until they left on their own.

Anyway, despite all of that -- or possibly because of it -- I have a hard time looking at anything that looks like a wolf spider. I like them, I just shudder when I see them. And then I catch them and escort them to a safer place (since I no longer live in a swamp).

But those fuzzy little jumping spiders? Those are adorable! I want one!

That's an awesome story, Mania! I would totally think of them as my own personal pest guardians. xD But I'm weird like that. >.>

I had a large spider that lived in my shower for over a year. I spotted him one day in the upper corner, and I just left him there. He made a little web and I'd always see fruit flies and mosquitoes caught in it.

I mean, I wouldn't want a huge swarm of spiders to suddenly drop down on me while I'm asleep, but they're one of my favourite creatures. ^^

Sooo adorable.

I actually like spiders. I have a great disdain for flies and well.

From before I moved:
I used to have this big spider in my room that I always said was my pet. It wasn't really that big, but it was one of the largest spiders for my area. My mom also let a black widow live in a flower box that was in our front yard. She called it her pet and watered around her web. Even though they are deadly, black widows are actually shy and only bite in last resort.
