Scarlet Tracking Hounds, Change to Hyeena or Dog Abilities?

Saw a while back that someone who had one tamed and transfered to beta had their Hyeena turn into the new Dog model. Just curious that if you have a Scarlet Tracking Hound tamed pre-Cata if it will change into the new Dog form knowing the Dog abilities or will it retain it's Hyeena abilities in the new Dog form?
