Heirloom gun or bow for Goblin hunter?

I can't decide between the dwarven hand cannon or the ancient bow for my goblin hunter. I know the difference in dps is going to be pretty low and I'm not too worried about that. The thought of a goblin with a hand cannon just screams awesome to me. I'm having a hard time picturing one with a bow so maybe someone can help me out or I can get some more opinions on which to go with. If I get the cannon I need to buy it tomorrow before the patch goes live since the rest of my shards will be going towards honor tokens.

I think a gun sounds like lots of fun for a Goblin.
As you said, the dps difference really shouldn't be a big deal while levelling up, I'd say it would be worth the aesthetic.

I agree with the noise sentiment (my first gun was Don Santos' and only because it was the best weapon in-game at the time, and it did look quite cool). However, we are talking goblins here. The small dudes with the big explosions. If there were mortars in-game they'd be even more appropriate than guns! As far as I'm concerned, goblins need guns. Lots of guns.

I always use the guns. I just hate bows and crossbows. Just seems retarded to me, to run around with a BOW when people have RIFLES.

While I hate the gun noises, bows dont fit well with a goblin.

Crossbows might, though sadly, there's no BoA option for those.

For the goblin I would go with the Gun.
There are a few mods that allow you to change the gun sound (it bugged me as well)
I changed mine on Vanilla to a silencer shot type. It overrides the game sound so even NPC's guns use it. Curse should have them or any other major addon site.
(note most don't add the files to your interface folder but to the Data folder)

Definitely a gun. Unless Goblins can somehow make a bow look cool, like the Tuarens who hold them sideways, gangsta style.

Agreed. I hate, I mean absolutely hate, the guns in WoW. I hate hearing them, even if they're not mine. That's why I refuse to use them, even if its a DPS loss for me.
Only time I can handle a gun is if my sound is turned off and I have music playing.

Personally, I hate guns in-game, I really don't enjoy too much technology in a fantasy game (those damn motorcycles give me hives!), and I utterly DESPISE the noise guns make.
However, logically and lore-wise I believe a Goblin would definitely use a gun over anything else.
