Circling, always circling [Kalli's pseudo-pet blog thread]

So a guildie of mine is camping for Arcturis tonight. In the interest of my sanity, since I figured I'd be spending hours upon hours searching alone, I respecced to BM and have started camping the Basin for my Hippomenes. He seems to already be getting into the spirit of being a cat, since he's not turning up. Sigh, and all the times I've found Loque when NOT looking for him keep haunting me...

So yeah, I've already been out here an hour. Not seen anything more interesting than a level 61 troll shaman. My sanity is already starting to ebb.

*sends Circle over to help Kalli* She'll call him out for you! :D

*pets Circle* Thanks! :D

You'd think having Atalanta, his mate, out with me would be enough of a lure. >_< I hope he's not mad at me for letting him go like Orpheus was. As it is, I'll be letting At go on vacation briefly if Hip does turn up before the patch... Long story behind that, but I think I'll feel like she's truly MINE if I get to go retame her.

G'luck Kalli! Too bad it's not on our server where we could keep you company. D:

Hour 2: Still no sight of hide nor whisker of the kitty. There was a surprise development, though. An aussie friend turned up to herb in the Basin, so I actually have another pair of eyes now. Plus my SCII addicted aussie buddy is also on, so I'm less likely to keel over from sheer boredom. As a side note, the 61 troll shaman has been dispatched, since he's out here herb-botting. Apologies to the die-hard hordies, but he's a) a bot and b) competition. As for myself, I have collected five eternal fires and one eternal water from the engineering clouds. I have also flown into several dozen trees.

Hehe, Kalli...those trees will get you every time! I think I spent more time stuck in trees than circling!

It doesn't help that I keep tabbing to check the boards or keep finding other reasons to go "on autopilot." xD (Ha, I hit a rock that time; that's different!) Part of it is my thumb bothering me, so it makes adjusting flight upwards awkward.

Sidebar: Arc has not appeared yet and my guildie's been waiting for 14 hours now. Ouch.

Tell him to keep hanging on cause sometimes the SBs have a 16 hr respawn time(thats the max I think. I could be wrong.)

I've heard upwards of 21 hours in Arcturis' case sometimes. =x He's the one Spirit Beast that really seems to have the wonkiest spawn rate.

When I camped Arc for the ex, it was a 16 hour camp. Tell him to keep his spirits up! :)

21?! Holy moly....x.x; Blizzard must think we hunters are insomniacs or somethin.

Yeah, I've seen him on a 22h spawn before. >_<

At least my guildie can do other stuff; I have to circle. x_x And circle and circle...-_-

I'm kicking myself for not starting sooner. >_< Especially since I could have easily parked myself to camp over the past few days. Siiiiiigh.

Hour 3: Mild excitement when everyone in my guild who was on were hunters....and half were camping spirit beasts! Then a shammy logged in and was looking for frostbitten mobs. -_- He typically doesn't have any of the Basin ones done. I made it clear to him that Loque is mine, but now I'm circling differently to check on the others for him a bit. He's watching for Loque for me too, which is good, cause my herbing buddy bailed for Arathi Basin. xD

Thanks all for the support; I really don't think I could do this camp without Petopian backing.

Ooh, new QC storyline:

I can verify that this is in fact typical behavior for night elf rogues.

Considering that it was a Marigold storyline that got QC linked here, kicking off my addiction, I've been itching for Jeph to return to her and Dale. :D

Status report: Continuing to hit trees.
