We will be performing extended maintenance on Tuesday, October 12th. Maintenance will begin at 12:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 12:00 PM PDT. During this time, all realms and many web services will be unavailable.

Very probable but at the same time, thats not 100% solid evidence that its a patch. A lot of servers have been incredibly laggy and they've been trying to fix them.

That's a whole lot of maintenance...I hope it means stables.

As do I but I'm trying not to get my hopes up TOO high. XD

EeeeeEEEEEeeeeeeeee! Pretty indicative. Generally if they're trying to fix lag issues, they mention that in the blue post.

They didn't last week. :O ICC was laggy as always but not as much.

All the servers didn't go down for 12 hours last week either. >_>

Boub suggested that it's most likely to be tomorrow because they wouldn't launch a big patch like that right before Blizzcon. Makes sense to me.

Looks promising, but Blizzard can still pull a fast one. If it is, I suggest you do find other stuff for Tuesday cause it'll likely be extended farther. X) Especially with a big patch like this.

God, yes, this. Big patches almost always cause multiple delays before the servers actually come back up.

The season is ending so..the patch is eminent.

Could someone enlighten me as to the gem changes or is that not happening yet? Searched MMO and found some class and glyph stuff already. I'd do a more in-depth search but being sick makes me want to pass out if I sit up or stand for more then 7 min.

Update Patch 4.0.1 on live servers this week
We have a long maintenance, official previews everywhere, and a couple of information confirming the patch on my side. Patch is this week, enjoy!

Doesn't surprise me that 4.0 is coming out today. I went with MMO Champion even before the official announcement. I'm not negative/a pessimist. I hate that. And I'm so looking forward to doing Beast Mastery in raids now!
