Hello has any1 4.0.1 Started downloading yet ? because mine hasn,t popped up yet so im asking if any1 else has.

It should have started several weeks ago, actually.

Really? i thought few weeks ago was 4.0.0 and we get 4.0.1 today ?

Nope, there is no 4.0.0.

The background downloader started weeks ago and came in three different installments for our ease in downloading the trio of patches (4.0.1, 4.0.2, 4.0.3). So if you got that all downloaded, you should be in good shape for this patch, since you have the pre-patch downloads.

How i found out if i already downloaded them all ?

If you havent already, search the WOW folder for the Background Downloader. I started mine a week or so ago, but cancelled out of it. I ran the file today and realized I had 3 GB left to DL still.

In case you dont want any down time when the servers are finally up, I would recommend turning on your Background Downloader (just open it and it will continue the download)

I started up my background downloader after logging off last night and to my dismay, there wasn't a patch file this morning. I reran the background downloader (after all, it's not going to re-download the patch files) and after 2 minutes it checked everything and started up the updater. Its icon looks like a windrider holding a CD. So yes, go launch the background downloader.

Mine has 4gigs to DL, I always have my background downloader on, but this is owch. x.x

It also says it'll take 97 hours to finish... half hour of dling and it's only up to 3%

Now maintenance has been pushed back two hours.

Hm. Mine finished doing the update (which I think was actually offline) after about 1 1/2 hour. It didn't download anything, just checked that I had everything on my comp. Like I said, the background downloader only ran for ~2 minutes. Weeeeird. >.> Did you get it to work or are you still downloading?

There's multiple stages of activation today.

First, the bit of patch that needs to download goes on your comp.

Once there, it hooks up with your previously-downloaded bits of patch and starts to install. This part takes a while.

Then you get the SHINY NEW Cataclysm launcher splash screen. Once there, you have about 1.4 gig worth of data to download. Since it's the Cata launcher, you'll actually be able to get in before it finishes downloading, but with the servers still down, you might as well let it finish.

Some servers are up now. Not Nesingwary yet, but it's a matter of time.

Just wating for my client to finish installing now. It's going so slow, although I shouldn't be complaining too much I suppose. The background downloaded managed to download a good 98% of the patch, so I haven't had to worry about that.

Still. I wanna play with Durana's talents! /impatient

Last time I did that the raid started without me. Don't Trust the Realm Status Page!

I haven't downloaded those pre-patches before but my downloader is going just fine. I guess everyone saying of the glitches they faced with them made me to not want to risk my beloved gameplay. It would've gone straight to them now but it didn't. Just...ugh...89 percent left to go. Didn't help too much for me to leave the computer alone to go to class earlier tonight. I'm cereal.
