The subject was pretty vague, I know. But what are you guys gonna do first thing today when you log on? Are you going to go get that pet that you've been missing? Are you going to go abuse some target dummies? Perhaps try a talent tree you didn't have before?

Me personally? I'm flying my butt straight out to Zul'drak to get Shikon (Gondria) back. I meant to use my wormhole last night so that I'd be there as soon as I logged on, but I was tired and forgot. I imagine there will be an initial rush to get spirit beasts since we'll have our expanded stables. But hopefully I'll get lucky!

I *guess* I'll try out the new focus stuff, too. I'm a lazy boob and did nothing but explore and find pets in beta.

I know we all had our plans, but now that the first big patch has arrived, have your plans changed? Whatcha gonna do now?

I've decided first I will retame some old friends (warpie, bear, etc) then, try and figure out how my character still works.

1. Train
2. Find the whole family
3. Learn my class. Again.
4. Fly around in circles farming Frost Lotus in Northrend to get my Alchemy up those last 15 levels.

First I'm gonna log onto my toon on Ysera and go kill Gondria. I even logged out right there.



Nah, probably gonna slosh through my 30+ alts, fixing talent trees, etc.

Then, probably take some time to enjoy the new stables slots. Mmm, stable slots.

Well Cats are cats and with the new changes I've got a date in Winterspring/Darkshore and eventually SB for loque but finding him will take a Miracle Plus I'll have to wait until tomorrow being a Euro player.

Also start getting used to the new focus system.

Blink a few times and then slowly, haltingly,

1) fumble my way through all my talent respecs
2) hit the target dummies and see what still goes together
3) tear apart 90% of my macros and rewrite
4) go tame a few extra pets here and there

I have the Quest to summon Shy-Rotam and Sian-Rotam in my log and the Frostsaber meat in my bag. Re-Taming those two cats is the 1st thing I will do.

Get my talents so that I can go out and get Gondria back (sarion is coming home).
Then figure out how the heck I play my hunter.. man I knew I should have done that on the ptr instead of flying around taming King krush
Sas gets to go out and find some pets that are needed for raids. So.. I.. get.. to... do... dungeons....to..level...pets..

The dummies are going to become so overcrowded that I predict server crashes because people are worried that they'll lose 2 DPS. I checked on PTR, and I'm doing about 2K MORE than I was before.

First thing Ima do IF servers go back up today (they should but it'll be too late for us East Coasters who have to get up for work at 4:15am) will be to go pick up a couple pets I abandoned -- Blacksting, diseased black bear, just to name a few. Maybe, if I'm lucky, go get my first Spirit Beast.

Gona train and get my talents then rush off to get back some of my old pets, starting with the rare spawns first to see if any are up.

Man I can not wait! Realms can't get up fast enough!

Oh yeah, talents should probably come first. I was so wrapped up in searching for pets that I completely forgot I can't even get half of them unless I'm BM!

I don't even know if our guild will raid tonight. It's scheduled, but we might be so busy bumbling about that we just take a night off.

Hmm, maybe I should take my lunch hour to go home and start up the patch so that I don't have to wait to do it tonight when I get home!

Well, not really, but I am getting ready to head off to the local city zoo with my wife and little boy.

The "scheduled" time for realms being up is in about 3 hours... I figure by the time I get home it will be close to that time, or past it.

I will praise Blizzard if they actually bring up the realms at the schedule time though... and not 6 hours later.

After I get into the game my main concerns will be gathering up the pets that I have dropped within the last year and a half.
Ghost Jormungar, Nuramoc, Ghost Saber....

And considering that it looks like Blizzard is putting a TON of stuff into this patch that I was not expecting (I wasn't on the PTR) I might swing by Ol' Gezz to see if she is ready to come with me. (take a look at MMO-Champion for some of the stuff that will show up in this patch...) If she isn't ready... I'll just run off and leave her be.

First I'll go do all my retraining and try to figure out where to put points. Probably will be a lot of asking in Gchat 'dur, where should I put points, what works best,' as I am not very bright with these sorts of things.

Then, off to retame old friends! AND FIND NEW ONES!

Retaming my pets is definitely my first priority! I might get bored enough at work today to plan out a route to take.

After that I'll spend time looking at my talents more closely, experimenting with rotations, and probably queue up for a random heroic to get a feel of running with Focus.

After that it'll be a matter of checking out the new interfaces, making sure my addons are working, etc. ^^

I personally plan on logging onto my druid and my Hunter soon as I wake up in the morning (curses to being on Euro time with an American server @@) and training up my new talents and such before mourning the loss of EotB and ToL and such. :/

When I get home from school though, my game time will be filled with much pet taming on my Hunter and relearning how to tank on my Druid.

On a semi-related note...

If you are hankering for some pre-patch shenanigans then you might take a trip over to http://wowtal.com/#k and work out your talent build.

Not only does it show you the new talents but you can export the build into a /run command that can be used in-game to automatically set you talents points just by pasting the /run command into the chat line.

So you can get going to get the new pets even FASTER!

Yup, planned my taming route, lol!
