I only know of two White Gorillas in the game...

The rare one in Un'goro Crater which is tameable on live and Mokk the Savage in STV that is spawned.

I am sure the Uh'rok or whatever his name is in Un'goro is still tameable in Cataclysm, but I am curious if Mokk is still untameable.

I am wanting to get a Gorilla for my stables and I think a white one would appeal to me more, but I don't feel like camping the one in Un'goro unless I really need to.

So does anyone know if Mokk is tameable in Cataclysm, or do I need to just hunker down and camp the other one?


Also... is there a public spreadsheet or something that lists every mob/beast in the game and whether they are tameable or not in Cataclysm? I know Mania has one that only certain people can see and change, but I am curious if that one (or another one) has been made public yet.

I'm not sure about him, but out of interest, there IS currently a 3rd white gorilla--though I believe he's untameable. His name is Number Two or something, spawned by Dr. Weevil in your Winterspring encounter with him, during the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain.

Number Two wasn't tamable as of "recently" (a few months?) when I finally did my Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest line. Man, quests were so much harder back in Classic!

I would suggest just camping out Uhk'loc from Un'goro. I did it a few months ago when I needed a tanking pet and it wasn't that bad. He spawns around 4:00 A.M. server time, if I remember correctly.

Number Two was made untameable shortly after Burning Crusade's release. I had the quest at 60, he was able to be tamed (via beast lore), and after BC came out and I hit 62 I went back to tame him and no dice.

I have tamed Uhk'loc in the beta.

I am honestly not sure if I have done this quest or not on my hunter. If I haven't, I will check for you tonight in beta if no one else gets to it before I do.

Now that I think about it, my hunter is doing the freezing thing again in Westfall, so I copied a pre-made hunter. I should be able to check this out for you then!
