Confirmation: ZG mounts gone for good once Cata fully hits.

Just read this over at WoW Insider:
Swift Zulian Tiger
Zul'Gurub is changing from a raid to a leveling zone in 4.0.3, and this mount will no longer be obtainable.
Swift Razzashi Raptor
This mount will also no longer be obtainable after the change to Zul'Gurub.
Blue post here.
We always knew this was gonna happen... But it just breaks my heart to read the confirmation.
The Razzashi hatchling is gone too, the one hatchling I have yet to get urgh.

Because evidently it's to hard for Blizzard to make lost/wild Razzashi raptors and a Razzashi nest/drop from them.
While I'd kill for the tiger on Yas, I want the Raptor hatchie as that's the only one I need.
*insert swearing rant here*

I'm normally pretty forgiving on Blizzard... but I can't help but agree with you there. Hell, you could make the Tiger and the Raptor mounts drop off a rare spawn ala the Time Lost Protodrake. But removing these things altogether? Just leaves a lot of very determined people extremely unhappy

Yeah, they could have at least did that with the Argent Mounts. Just give them to the Argent Quartermaster and to keep the challenge going require a really really high number of Champion's Seals for them.
ZG mounts and hatchling they could have moved to Archeology, make the Horn of the Raptor and Reigns of the Tiger and give the tool tip that these artifacts survived the destruction of Zul' Gurub or something and from you're hard work you've figured out how to summon the mount/pet.

Aye. I have very VERY bad drop luck (See Baron) and I've never seen either and I want both. Hardly my fault drops detest me so badly, it's not from lack of trying which some idiots seem to think :/

I've yet to see either of these mounts drop in my WoW-lifetime, and I really feel bad for those people who have been trying for years with no luck.
I'm personally not overly upset. They're neat mounts, I would love to have them, but not to the point where I'll be disappointed if I don't get them. It's really sad though that some folks who are dying to own them can't have them just because of some RNG grudge.

I always wanted the tiger, since I first saw it on some website almost six years ago. Sucks I'll never get it. I haven't exactly been trying as religiously as I'm sure many other people do, but still. Oh well. At least I can still go for Anzu (my favoritist in the game!).....

I think I'm going to cry... I only have like 15 ZG runs left before cata and its my all time favorite ground mount...

Damn. I never really wanted this tiger on my character (I like them, just didn't want one), but now that they're going away, I already feel sorry I didn't grind it, because it might strike me in the future that I want it more than anything.

Yet another reason why I am glad I quit this game. Getting rid of content and items, no matter how old, is bad. A big middle finger to Blizz, and a wave goodbye.

I'll never get the tiger.... I dont know why they're completely nexxing this zone, you'd think they could just keep it open, open up the area for quests and whatnot too, but then just have a instance portal somewhere. aint that hard

Although we have no current plans to introduce new ways to obtain the Zul'Gurub mounts, pets, and the tribute mounts, they may return should we find a place where they fit in the future.
This was also on the blue post...don't fret too much perhaps!

It took them how many years to fix Dead Zone?
Or make the emerald whelp drop from more than
one extremely rare and QUEST REQUIRED whelp?
Or the fact that they did NOT re-impliment
Spirit of Competition even when it makes less sense to take it out?
And the fact they have still said
nothing over the Scorchling Ahune used to drop?
Yeah. I ain't holding my breath. Sorry.
And no, no to rare drops for ZG tiger or ZG raptor. It'd be barely acceptable if they did it for the hatchling.
ZG mounts and hatchling they could have moved to Archeology, make the Horn of the Raptor and Reigns of the Tiger and give the tool tip that these artifacts survived the destruction of Zul' Gurub or something and from you're hard work you've figured out how to summon the mount/pet.
THIS. Just,
THIS so much.

The thing is the Olympics aren't a one time event. There's the winter games too. But they didn't even make a winter game version of the pet.
The Spirit of Competition was the
ONLY non China chinese dragon we could ever obtain. :/

They could of made a commonweath games one but seeing as its a USA owned company they would never do something like that becouse they are lame like that. They really should add more holidays based off other countrys ones and not just USA based holidays. Would make us fit in more ya know?
I was lucky and got mine when i could.

I've always missed the only real celebration Sweden is unique about... Midsommar. Where you dance around a pole cowered in plants and stuff and look stupid.
Okay, probably a good thing that isn't implemented.
But there ARE thingsthat are non-US, like Brewfest, which is based on Oktoberfest.
