Hmm. I'm going to go try myself on Dura, see how I do and hope I can help ya. (I think I may stab myself in the foot if the mount turns up. I love the mount... But I want it on my DK or druid, not Dura.)
Typing this as I go though the dungeon XD
Okay, got to the enterance of the dungeon. I'm in my beastmastery spec and I'm using my Turtle Om (level 80 and full of win). Accompaning me is my lucky Lil' XT. I have 27k health, Om has 29.5k.
Let's get this started.
First few mob pulls, no real issues... Then I realise I'm in reg. I swear, go out and change to heroic. First fail of the night, let's hope it's the only one.
In heroic, now. Sloppy pull snags the first two packs of mobs. Asside from some agro issues, Om handles it okay, he popped shell shield once though, had I been more organised he would have been fine. Making sure to keep mend pet on him and to FD often. Side note, I HATE THE NEW MISDIRECT. /rage
Hmm, bit of a tight squeze in the next room between mobs. Advise dismissing pet then summoning again once you get past. If you agro, let the pet take care of it and run to the exit. If you need to kill, take out the controllers first.
Setthek guard mobs at the end of the first room. I sent Om into the corridor beyond uing the move to command, then misdirected them to him. Worked out really well.
Second room, dimissed pet, carefully timed myself though the mobs, summoned him again in the next corridor to take out the two guard mobs I had to agro to get in. Have to be quick, they can do a bit of damage. The owl mob will path into your group, so be prepared to misdirect it to the pet, or FD or switch pet's targets. The guards to an AoE stomp that will hurt you as you don't have room to move, so be quick in killing them.
Skirted past the next 3 mobs in the corridor, pet was fine and didn't agro them. Attacked the guards guarding the next room with no hastle.
Moved past Darkweaver Skith without agroing him. Move around clockwise, make sure you're outside the darker coloured circle and you should be good. On to the dreaded raven guards...
Not too much trouble.. although shell shield did go off. Keep up mend pet and down them quickly, should be fine.
Fourth room. Killed the owls on the ledge to the right and moved up there. Misdirected Multishot does wonders here.
Put Om on passive and MD pulled the cobalt serpent up. Have to be careful with him lest he pull the other arakkoa with him.
Pulled the pack just before the stairs. You can skirt around them if you time it juuust right, but it's not worth it IMO. If there's a contoller in the group, kill him first. I was lucky this time, there wasn't one there.
Another cobalt serpent. Easy enough to take down.
Second lot of Raven guards. I used Intimidate when the second one enraged, made the process much easier.
Last room before Anzu. Killed the owl pack and the cobalt serpent since it pathed toward me just as I finished the owl mobs. I know from experience that you can skip it though.
made my way up the mound in the middle. Be wary of the mobs below, pet could agro them if you choose the wrong time to get up. Owls agroed onto me, pet grabbed agro from them, I put him on passive to get him all the way up th mount. At this close distance, I just lay down a Misdirected Explosive trap.
Walked down and clung to the wall. Again, watch out for the pathing Talon Lord. I used the Move To command to put Om just in Anzu's room and Misdirected the Raven Guards. Was late with the mend pet this time, thank goodness for Shell shield.
Anzu! Made sure Om was fully healed then sent him in. Gave him a bit of time to gain agro before Misdirecting and getting started.
Anzu doesn't hit Om very hard. I kept him at full health easily. The ravens he summons can be a bit of an issue. I Feigned Death when Anzu faded. I noticed that Om didn't seem to agro any of the birds via proximity though. I would recomend putting your pet on passive when Anzu fades, manually hitting Thunderstomp when the come to attack you, put pet back on defensive, FD then MD some multi-shots and maybe an explosive trap. They don't hit too hard... but I can see a mob od them doing some damage to an unprepared hunter.
So yeah, defiately possible to solo as a hunter, so long as you're prepared.
Birdy didn't drop for Dura, thank god.
