Why!

It's a bug. One that has been in-game for a good year or more now. I know of only once character on my server who can get the lug to show up, everybody else, no matter what they do to try and get him to rock up, can't do it. (That character is my hunter :\ Strange and lucky I know.)

What I do when I have to tame him is unequip my weapons and melee down Shy-rotam. Once she goes below 50% and does her emote, I untarget her. Generally Sian shows up then.

If this doesn't work, alas the best I can suggest is asking a GM about it.

Got em, first time I meleed her like that she didnt call. Second time she did.

I caught both lol

When I was on Beta found her ALREADY spawned and waiting... Rakshiri was no were to be found...

It's already been noted that she(Shy-Rotam) wont need to be spawned. Sian-Rotam is the white lion. Shy needs to call her mate, Sian, in order for him to spawn.

Not bugged I tamed him yesterday, I just stripped down in my undies and bare fisted punched her til she hollerd for her hubby, I'ts just slooooooooowly dpsing her til he comes out. Unknowne-Elune

It's already been noted that she(Shy-Rotam) wont need to be spawned. Sian-Rotam is the white lion. Shy needs to call her mate, Sian, in order for him to spawn.

I remember this but did anyone confirm her mate spawns still when she cries out for him?

So uh, yeah. Sian is confirmed to spawn in live. Last I checked in beta I couldn't get him to spawn, but I can quickly check again.
EDIT: Apparently not. Servers are down. I'll check when I can :S

I managed to get them both today, but it was the first time in awhile I'd gotten him to spawn (never had any luck on Beta - she called, but no lion came). Did it a few times, and she consistently called at 50% (I was punching her... gear on, but no weapons).

I tamed Sian first, dismissed, and then tamed her, all in one go ( <3 new tame beast). When I summoned them again I decided to play a bit. I feigned death and the two of them reset to the altar area and walked around, with Sian obviously on /follow behind Shy. It took quite awhile for them to despawn.

So the third time I summoned them, I tamed Shy, quickly put her on passive, and feigned. Sian reset initially, then walked over and started to follow my TAMED Shy as we walked around. It was kinda funny, he didn't aggro onto her or anything. Was going to take a screenshot, but after a random shuffle he aggroed on to me. If shy isn't around (dismissed or killed), he will despawn when he gets out of combat (leash or feign death).

Yes, she did that for me No matter how often she called he couldn't be bothered to show.

In the end I got both of them tamed. I found staying very near the summoning cave/rock worked, he won't show if you wander off to far. Perhaps he's a bit hard of hearing
