[13195] Grey, white, blue scarabs in AQ20; grey in ZF, AQ40

Patch 13195: I just took a look through AQ20, which is the first time in a few patches, and it now seems to be in the middle of a revamp. It looks like none of the wasps have been set as beasts yet, but three colours of beetles have, and two of them are new tameable colours.
The Vile Scarabs can be found all over the place, including just inside the entrance. They use
SilithidScarabSkinBlack, which is pewter grey with tan markings:

They're non-elites, non-aggressive and are level 55. An easy tame.
Further in, around the Reservoir area, there are groups of Spitting Scarabs (
SilithidScarabSkinWhite, white with black markings) and Shrieker Scarabs (
SilithidScarabSkinTeal, blue with red markings). Both are now classed as beasts and also tameable. They're level 60 elites. They use a nasty knockback that seems to have a frequency just slightly more than my taming, so (i) you need to cull the group before you tame or they'll punt you all over the place and (ii) you'll probably need an ice trap.
The white one is a new tameable colour:

The blue one isn't as exciting as it's the same as the original tameable blue beetle in Tanaris. But for the record, here's pics of the tame:

UPDATE: The grey scarabs all over the place in Zul'Farrak (which are just named "Scarab" and also use SilithidScarabSkinBlack) are now tameable as well:

They increased their size dramatically, making some of the areas in there look rather creepy:

They're still level 46-47 neutral non-elites, fortunately.
UPDATE #2: The grey scarabs in AQ40 are also now tameable. They're called Qiraji Scarabs and are neutral level 60 non-elites. They occur in the corridor after Princess Huhuran down to (and including) the room with the Twin Emperors:

I can't test the Yauj Brood (SilithidScarabSkinGold) because they only spawn when Princess Yauj dies and I can't get the bug bosses down solo. Also, nothing else new in there is currently tameable or even marked as a beast (wasps, colossi, scorpids).

Those are just beautiful. Can't wait to add them to the stable.

Awsome, the white beetle is one of the beetles I've been wanting for so long.
Now if only the golden was tameable >>

That's awesome!! If I can't get a non-colour changing light blue scarab, I'm definitely taming the white one!

I suspect it's only a matter if time. At least 2 different silithid hives have the yellow ones and surely they'll be made tameable soon. They may be present in AQ40 as well but I can't get past the first boss solo in order to check.
From memory, the only two silithid scarab skins that don't seem as likely to be available at this stage are SilithidScarabSkinGreen, which hasn't been used in the game and SilithidScarabSkinGold, which isn't the yellow one but actually looks coppery and is mainly used on tiny critter beetles - though perhaps
Yauj Brood in AQ40 is tameable now, and it uses that skin.

I don't know if I would've gotten a beetle before. But I'm really tempted with that white beetle. I love cool albino animals. They look special.

I should also mention, if anyone wants to get to one of the white Spitting Scarabs at 80, I think it should be possible to do it without killing any bosses.
In the first two rooms, clear plenty of trash groups till you can get through safely (which you'll want to do one group at a time... they can have nasty interrupts which can overwhelm you even at 85 if you pull lots of groups). You can bypass the first boss, which is Kurinnaxx, a large kind of scorpion thing. Give him a wide berth to the right and avoid and patrolling groups of wasps. Circle around the walls counterclockwise till you find the exit.
In the next room there are waves of trash and minibosses then a final big boss. I didn't test this, but you should be able to circle around to the right, and head through the gateway into the Reservoir area, pulling a few mobs as you go. Aggroing any of them will start the event which triggers waves of trash and minibosses, but if you play dead in the next room you should be able to terminate that. You should be now in the area with the white and blue beetles.

*shivers* Never been a fan of beetles. As much as I love creepy-crawlies of any kind (have 2 spiders and a silithid in my stable currently), they have always freaked me out. o.o Especially when they die! Then again, it might be due to my AQ20 raids at like 2 in the morning with the sound turned up and everytime you aggro one you get that awful screeching noise. xD
Still, gratz to all who are looking forward to the tame!

YAY!!! Wow, they've been eating their Wheaties every morning. OMG I can't wait to get that beetle. I was unsure which one I liked the most before, but I really love this blackish one. It's like a dark gunmetal gray, it's so awesome!

Nice! I like the black and white ones... not as much as the red ones but still cool.

The emote in the last screenshot perfectly describes it, too.
