are they tameable in beta? They show up as beasts on live, but always get killed before i have a chance to throw up beast lore.

They are not tameable in Live, at least. I managed to BL one when I had a rather low-DPS group.

I would love for these to be tameable some day as well...though the Black/Red version is interesting, I'm completely drawn to the blue ones.

Same here. i settled for the red one currently.

I didn't check the ones in VH, but the ones in DB and BT are definitely not tameable on the beta as of this patch (13195). They're still demons.

*grumps about the not-often-seen green ones* They should all be opened up, really.

I checked Violet Hold for you guys. You're not gonna like what I found out. It seems blizzard has removed the mage hunter hounds and have instead replaced them with humans of all things. Called Veteran Mage Hunters.
This is sad, sad news Hopefully we'll see another of the blue guys become tamable.

That's so odd....I wonder why they'd bother to change them like that. o_O

I BELEIVE those have always been in-game and either one would spawn. Not positive though.

*nodnod* Those veteran mage slayers were in game before. The easiest way of checking VH is to hop in there before the event starts, since you're pretty much guaranteed to see both spawn there.

I just ran in there with my 85 premade hunter and waited for the mage slayers to spawn. They are beasts but are can't be tamed in the current patch but damn I wish they could, their my favorite out of those "wolfs".

I was there for a good half an hour or more, never got them to spawn. I guess that's why I got confused.

It's random. I've had runs without any, and runs with tons xD I do VH a lot, it's a favourite.
