Just to let you guys know that i manage to solo tame King Krush on one of my hunter just now. I was worried earlier when someone mentioned in the forum that on beta Krush fears more often and hits harder.

Well i decided to try anyway because i noticed the changes made to tame beast "spell?", which is it doesn't cost anything, has a shorted duration? around 10 sec and no longer makes hunter vulnerable (i.e no armor).

My hunter is a fresh 80 with just about 17k health? and mostly in quest gear (all blues).

My tactic is simple.. just keep trying.. lol ...

Krush will fear early on ...in fact the first few seconds after you engage him, but he doesn't do alot of damage. I just feign death the moment i got out of fear. Then heal up and run back and try again. He will fear you the first time always, but once the fear stops if you have about 70% life left can try and tame again. That what i did and he didn't fear me at all and i got him. Took about 9 attempts. Lotsa bandages and food And yes it takes a bit of luck but its possible to tame him solo. All happened within 10 mins. (I notice feign death have a shorter or no cooldown anymore).

Yeah the discovery about mobs hitting harder was made before the tame beast change was implemented, so that's where that concern came from.

Congrats on your tame!! You're lucky to snag a Sholazar rare while everyone hunter and their uncle are out scouting for them.

Since 4.0.1 is live, this probably should be in Pet Discussions rather than cata.

Thanks. Yeah i know... there was about 4 hunters on the map. Mostly camping Aotona since i see them one on each spot.. lol... Strangely enough on this server (Dawnbringer) they seem to leave the giant green dino alone. I've seen this happen twice now. Krush can walk around basin for almost an hour with people herbing and mining around him. But ya, eventually someone will come kill for "achievement" .

I solo tamed him last night. He walked through my trap like it wasn't there and started hitting me. I hit tame beast anyway and got him without losing hardly any health or even being feared a single time. Very easy tame now.

He showed at the point SE of Nesingwary's while I was trying to find Loque. I still have never seen that guy.
