I am LOVING Burrow Attack

Good gravy, it is so sweet. Send the worm into a group of mobs, let him Thunderstomp, hit the button, watch him dive, and watch as the mobs gathered around him stand there going "Duuuuurrrrrr" until they keel over (with some help from the awesome new Multi-Shot). I have a feeling that Worms will be the go-to pet for people like me who enjoy taking out groups of foes in one fell swoop.

I have a Disembodied Jormungar. Ghost Worm FTW!

I haven't tested it out yet, but I think I shall have to go farm eternals or something... :D Sounds awesome!

Is it just me, or is the cooldown not showing on the Burrow button? It gives no indication of whether my worm has enough focus to execute Burrow, nor whether the 30sec cooldown is up or not.

Also, despite the worm being underground, it can still be attacked. At first I thought that wasn't case, but looking closely at the pet portrait I did see it get hit on occasion.

How is the Burrow Attack in PvP? I'm still looking for my goto PvP pet a la pre-Patch 4.0.1 Warp Stalker (warp ability).

I don't have a cooldown on my Burrow Attack either, Anyia. O.o

I also can attest to the epicness of worms and their Burrow Attack. It's a really handy ability. Ellaran, I agree, ghost worm ftw!!! :D

Have just used my wormie to try and get the raven lord mount (which didn't drop grrr). He was utterly awesome, burrow is pure win ! :)
I think he is actually better as a tank than my Gorilla... Might just have to test out a turtle now and see if I replace uhk.

Prepatch the tanking pets were crocks (on-hit aggro), worms (debuff), bears (AoE aggro), turtles (tanking CD) and warp stalkers (+1 talent point, tanking ability). Right now it seems to be Worms (AoE aggro+stun+debuff) and turtles (tanking CD) are the way to go, unless you're in a high population density area with running mobs, in which case a crock (melee slow) or warp stalker (ranged slow) won't hurt.

I do not believe that the Burrow actually stuns, the animation for it is just bugged and causes mobs to stop their attacking animations and the worm still takes dmg from them.

Thanks for the nice info on tanking pets :)

And I mistook it for the mobs being snared... good god it was hilarious to have skidding trolls in ZG.

TBH Tstomp+Burrow+MD glyph make worms an excellent choice for pet tanks, aslong as you aren't soloing to heavily, because the pet becomes immobile and needs extra healing to make up for the lack of dodge and parry.

But I can say my worm tanked Hakkar better than my Paladin.

Yes burrow attack does not show its 30 second cooldown so its hard to tell when you can use it again. The pet is also still being attacked as normal by the mobs even though they aren't moving. It is a great AOE though and I bring him in any instance requiring some amount of AOE.

Also another funny bug, any mob that comes up from the ground (IE ghouls and some serpent in Zuldrak) will go down into the ground when the worm does, then climb back out when the worm surfaces  I love seeing it.

Yeah I went out and tamed Grubthor and have fallen in love with burrow. I have dual specced BM, one for solo-tanking and one for dps'ing, and Macaroni has a spec with pure dmg talents to coincide with the dps spec. I was having my gf tank some heroics to get me some gear around and with a ilvl 226 average I was able to put up a rather staggering number at one point using Beastial Wrath and Burrow Attack on an AoE pull. Granted it is an aoe pull and its trash, but still its pretty amazing stuff.

I'm absolutely loving Daggoth, my jormunger! He's my main tanking pet now -- Scorponok (my lvl 10-80 tank) is taking a well-earned break in the stables.

And yes, I. LOVE. Burrow! Daggoth can tank Chillmaw and his adds with no problems!

I did the pre-quests for Sons of Hodir (many mains, two exalted already) finally and asked a friend of mine to grad the daily quest to get the ghost wormy. <3
I still need a name for him.

And awesome info on the tanking pets. I'll make sure to remember that when I help just starting hunters. :D

Me and my wormie headed into ZG today to see what carnage we could cause...

First off, Raptor boss: cleared all raptors in the area - result (1 minipet - w00t)
Boss - No Mount. But was a very simple case of puke down raptor then survive until boss drops.

Tiger Boss: took 1 res to get them all down in sync and ... no mount.

But a first for me getting them all down.. More farming for mounts soon :)
Worm did a terrific job, burrow+MS+BW = WIN :)

Just a quick tip: If you park your pet (with stay) over on the far right (after clearing the area), MD to the pet and use a hard hitter to pull, then FD... the main boss will run to your pet while the others will reset. You pop back up and start dps'ing what has now become an easy and straight-forward tank n' spank. :) Someone posted it on these forums (sadly I can't remember who, so I can't give credit) and it works like a charm.

I too am loving burrow, but I'm curious. Is there any way to cancel the burrow early, perhaps through a macro?
