I usually tried to go for mythology names, I had a Draenei Hunter named Heimdallr with a red lynx named Surtr. After I go hacked I didn't want to spend 2 hours trying to come up with a mythology name so I just entered the first thing that popped into my head.

I like the red lynx because almost nobody on Alliance side has it on my server.

I dont have a particular reservation about name but I'd like to stay away from cliche ones like sharptooth or fang but silly, serious, RP doesn't matter. I am a Draenei hunter, male, if that help at all.

Go for something draenei like?

Crimson, or Crim, is usually what I name the red lynxes when I get one on a hunter alt.

Whenever I see them, Sherbet comes to mind. Or (as raunchy as it may sound) they're the exact color of cherry Screwballs, these ice cream like thingys that come in a plastic cone with a gumball at the bottom, that I used to buy from the ice cream truck that would visit my area. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look here

Hmmm.... i was calling a red lynx Flamestalker(works on red core hound too), or Flammy if you want a simple name.

Mustafah: Flamestalker isn't bad, but Flammy sounds too much like phlegm. xD

I named him Apollo after the Greek/Roman sun god. The sun is reddish orange like the lynx so I thought it fit well.

And I'm pretty sure there was a cat named Snicklefritz in this really weird, oldish kid show called 'The Big, Comfy Couch.' But off-topic!
