Ok, since we all seem to have some sort of Spirit Beast flu, I figured why not start a topic exclusively about them?

Which is your favorite SB and why? Also, feel free to post pics of you and your tame :3 C'mon, I know we all want to show them off!


I'll start... Arcturis is my fave since I also play a tank druid, and he's super ghostly looking.

I asked Haunter to dance with me on top of ICC..


But then he got kinda shy..

I have Gondria on Saturo, and I wouldn't trade her for anything.

The "sexy pic" Veph uploaded is almost identical to mine however, so I don't feel the need to upload it. Plus, I'm lazy...

Argh, this is hard...

Okay, I'll do a rundown of each of them.

Loque'nahak - It really is a beautiful creature, but for some reason I feel no attachment or desire for it. Plus I seem to see *everyone* with it....I dunno, it's hard to say what I'd do if I was in Sholazar and saw Loque spawned.

Gondria - When she first came out I actually remember really wanting her. The saber-style cat models are pretty much the only cats that I like in the game, plus she just looked so cool. I didn't feel like camping for her though, so I gave up. >.> Guess she decided otherwise. xD

Skoll - I'm so torn on him. I love the concept, and he's really gorgeous, I just wish he wasn't the Northrend wolf model. Still, I think he's growing on me and I'm going to semi-attempt to tame him and see what I think then.

Arcturis - He's a beautiful bear, but I don't really think I'd go out of my way to tame him. If I had more room I'd probably get him, but since I don't I have no urge to get him.

Arcturis.

He is a bear.

With moonfire.

I like bears.

Loque comes in second, though; he's still the definitive spirit beast to me.

Arcturis: I voted for Arcturis as he is the one that really sparked my interest for the Spirit Beasts, the adrenaline that i had when i was taming him is just about unparalleled! I love how goofy "Budd" is! Silly druid bear stealthing and moonfiring mobs Plus he has no ass and that makes me laugh XD!!! I get sooo many tells and looks when he is romping around and kicking butt!. I mean on a few bosses i had this goof ball crit 10 times in a row roughly 1300 each time...so uhh yeah he only looks like he cant do anything >.>



Loqu'nahak: Is a close Second and was initially my favorite until Arcturis was added. Sure she is perhaps the most popular and most tamed currently of the spirit beasts. I still love her model and her markings are BEAUTIFUL. Even though just about everyone has her and she seems to be a lil more common I will tame her one of these days ^ ^. She is one of the few cat model pets out there that i'd tame

Skoll Skoll was the first Spirit Beast i ever saw ingame. I didn't even know there were spirit beasts in the game ( not too many hunters had em till later) At first i was sure that this was a mob that wasn't suppose to be tamed ala oracle daily beasts/ghost wolf. However i eventually found out he was just rare. I like his look and love the lighting that cracks around him. I wont be taming him for two reasons. 1. I already have Jazz my wolf of the same model and i won't be getting rid of Jazz so having two pets of the same model really isnt my thing unless...2. The limited amount of stable slots really hinders the want of having pets such as him

Gondria Sadly this is my least fav of the Spirit beasts. Im really not sure why, she is beautiful and i LOVE the glow of her eyes. The only thing i can guess my dislike is that there are sooo many cat models in the game ( i know Loque is too!) but this one seems a lil too overused imo. But i still enjoy seeing her and if we ever get enough stable slots or ( hopefully) unlimited then i would def like to have her amongst my other companions!

Jakkra, our characters look so similar that it's almost creepy, hehe.

I'm not very fond of cats so I didn't care for spirit beasts until they released Skoll. Although I do love Arcturis' look I'm going to have to vote for Skoll because the lightning is just beautifully amazing.

Loque'nahak - I have him and I love him. His model is beautiful and he's also the original one. LAZER KITTY.

Gondria - I remember wanting and taming her, but I didn't keep her for long. She's beautiful, but I hated the fact she was a recycled Wintersaber model.

Skoll - I'm also very torn. I love him and I did tame him, but... He's a Northrend Worg. If he had a different model, I'd keep him. I may consider camping him again.

Arcturis - I'm not that big on bears. He is beautiful, but I don't like seeing through his butt! XD

I voted for Loque'nahak.

Haha, Wassa, I think our characters ARE identical, except for the tusks!! Eerie...

Love all the input :3 I wonder if they'll add a fifth beast..

I tamed Gondria and fell in love with the spectral cat idea. I think part of me wishes she had more of the spectral mount look to her.

Arcturus is gorgeous but... he's a bear. For the bear lovers, that' really cool. Its just... he's a bear....

Skoll used to be my absolute MUST have of a hunter pet, but he quickly fell off when I saw everyone and their dog had one. While I also join the rest of you in not particularly liking the northrend wolf model, I resigned that if I was to have a wolf-looking pet, it was going to actually be a wolf, thus being my raid pet.

Lok... well, I have never really felt attached whatsoever to her. When LK was coming out and everyone was freaking about spirit beasts (and exotics in general), I was looking more into what pet would be able to join me from 70-80, not just what pet to seek out when I was 80 if I were lucky enough to outcamp everyone else for her.

I'm still waiting to see what they plan on doing with spiritbeasts and indeed everything about the hunter class before I get too attached to any one pet.... outside my Numeroc

Robot Dinosaurs That Shoot Beams When They Roar!

Well maybe take the Robot part out <.<

My favorite spirit beast is Skoll i litterally stayed awake 2 days straight to tame him haha

I voted Skoll.

I was ecstatic when I first tamed Gondria, became my main pet right up until I tamed Skoll (although I still sometimes run around with my devilsaur NomNom, because he's just sort of awesome).

I don't know what it is, but there is just something about Skoll that is irresistably cool for me. I was never much a fan of the Northrend wolf model. They seem emaciated and sort of mangy to me. Buuuuuuuuut... electric blue lightning worg? Yes please.

Loque is gorgeous, would love to someday add him to my collection (if I ever develop the patience to do some serious camping for him), and may be my second favorite.

Arcturis is intriguing to me, but I haven't felt inspired enough to set out looking for him.

Now that I have Skoll I can safely say my opinion has risen and he's definitely my favourite. *votes*

Arcturis wins in my book, he's the first one that made me really think it was worth all the work to tame him. My main is a druid tho so i may be biased lol

I managed to finally get them all the other day! (omg 15 hours camping for Skoll!)

My opinion in this order:

1) Skoll -

Definitely the best looking. Once you see him up close, and in bestial wrath (he's frigging huge!), theres no doubt he definitely looks the best! I may be biased in the fact that this one took me the longest to get though!

2) Gondria

I don't know why no one ever gives Gondria credit! Screenshots and standing still in Dalaran don't do Gondria enough justice! Once you get Gon out in the wild running around chasing creatures, he/she looks totally amazing! One of my hunter friends has Gondria too (mines Casper a boy, hers is Purrfect a girl hehe). We go and do battlegrounds with them out together, and it looks awesome, two nearly invisible cats darting around the battlefield munching on people! The enemy looks so confused!!

3) Arcturis
A laser bear! He looks awesome! He sometimes seems to go almost invisible especially when under bestial wrath! I like him but not as much as Skoll or Gon I gave him charge, and use him to charge people in duels hehe. Its funny because he stops in front of them to spirit strike then unleashes a charge!

4) Loque
Loque is great having his own model! But probably because I have had this one the longest I am so used it, and so like it the least. Loque does look amazing under BW though!

All in all I'd say I love them all. Skoll however gets my vote
