Okay so I have a suggestion for the Warcraft Mounts Site. I wasn't sure if I should put this under the companion forum for the site or under forum suggestions, so if someone feels this should be moved go ahead. ^.^

I understand that Mania is extremely busy and I am very grateful for the sites and forums that she maintains! She does a great job with it and I've met tons of people through Petopia. I use Warcraft Mounts to keep track of all my characters mount collections, but I would really like to see an extra feature on the site.

I think a way to search for collectors by number of mounts, realm and character name would be a fantastic feature to the site. It's wonderful being able to track my own collections but being able to look for others to see how I am doing on my realm or whatever compared to others would be awesome. Something like Warcraft Pets uses to search members would be awesome I think.

Of course I have no clue what that would require to run on the site or how to do it, technological things like that aren't my forte! I just think it would add to the already fantastic site.

I thought we did have that already.

I havn't found a way to search through others mount collections or even access them without a direct link to their profile, let alone search by realm etc. If there is, post a link and disregard my suggestion.

I know WoWcollect had a way to search by realm or view top collections, but that site closed a while ago.

Not sure why you'd want to search your realm considering the highest achievement is via the 100 mount mark and nothing is really scored after that. I'm not sure how she'd do this cause it would require a lot of work to get Blizzard's permission to access personal character files.

No, that's not what I meant. I didn't mean searching directly into Blizzard character files..

I mean like they do it on Warcraft Pets or how they did do it on WoWCollect. You make a profile, it has your characters name and realm listed and using the site you track your collection by check marking what mounts you have. Warcraft Mounts has this already.

What Warcraft Pets has that Warcraft Mounts doesnt (to my knowledge) is have a way to search by realm/collection/character name to view other's collections registered on the site, which is what my suggestion is about implementing.

And my reasoning is because I like to see others collections... I have yet to meet someone on my realm with as many mounts as me, so it would be nice to be able to search for people registered on the site to meet other collectors and compare collections.

OH! You meant only for the site people. Okay okay. i gotcha now. Yeah, that I wouldn't mind seeing.

It's alright. I thought you meant like having access to the armory or something. It's all clear now! Yeah a search function would be wicked cool.
