My favorite landmark is the race track in Thousand needles. If I heard right it will be flooded in Cata.

Not really a landmark, per se, but I heard that Camp Taurajo will be destroyed somehow :< I'm also hoping the inn in Bloodhoof Village doesn't get completely destroyed. I guess I have a fond connection to any Tauren style inn. I have memories of saying goodnight to my husband in those inns, when we lived in different states (dating/engaged at the time).

Both of my favorite places have been edited :(

Newman's Landing was one of my favorite places. My friend and I took trips there and hung out; it was very creepy once upon a time. Before they stuck npc's there. :(

The Deadwind Pass Crypt was pretty awesome too before they permanently closed it off. I never went in their myself (it had been totally sealed by then). But a friend went before I even played wow and took some VERY creepy pictures in there (Upside-Down Sinners anyone?)

I love the flying islands in Nagrand. Back in BC, I used to perch myself on one of them whenever I just wanted to chat with friends in the game. Come to think of it, I love most of the BC landscapes. Yeah, I know a lot of people disliked the place because it didn't feel very fantasy, but I have a secret weakness for the place for some reason. Zangarmarsh is still one of my favourite zones.

In Vanilla WoW, I'm have to say the Shatterspear Village, aka the Dancing Troll Village. It's just so lively, and yet so isolated. I rarely go there though, but it's always fun to visit. There are rumours that it's going to be updated when Cataclysm hits. I love the idea of the area being useful... but at the same time I loose one of my more secret hideout spots.

I also love the Loch Modan Dam. I dunno why, I just do. :P

I think Stonewrought Dam is my favourite too, although I always look forward to seeing Baron Revilgaz's statue at Booty Bay :D Hope it stays put.

They're gonna flood the racetrack?? Those monsters....

It's not really a true land mark but.. I've always liked to retreat to that little pond in the mountains behind Ravenholdt Manor in alterac. I hope it doesn't get removed in Cata. That's always been my own little secluded fishing getaway. Few people ever remember it after the Love is in the Air event.. How you use to have to do the quest back there for the dresses. Not anymore though it seems. =)

I had a soft spot in my heart for darkshore though it was a pain in the butt with all the running around I'll miss it.

I wonder what will happen to the Shrine of the Fallen Warrior when they change the Barrens environs.

Or the Kodo Graveyard in Desolace.
