Always check your spawn points!

So -
I first encountered King Krush and became obsessed with taming him, after a guildmate mentioned he was in Sholazar. I became like Captain Ahab...
The problem was, we were having trouble with fears, and ... Nessingwary's guards came along and killed him when I was trying what might have been the successful tame. *cry* That was before 4.0.1.
Ever since then, I would resist camping in Sholazar, but would periodically skim over his spawn points and get grumpy because he wasn't there. This went on for weeks until, some time after 4.0.1, I came in from the east towards the Oracle base there, and who do I see stomping north but KK?
So that was last Wednesday.
Then I started to get the itch to find Skoll.
Monday night, I spent camped out by his metal-hatch spawn point north of Brunhildar Village. I had a good book, waited to see if NPCScan told me anything - nothing.
Tuesday (yesterday), I spent a bit of time there, then got bored so I flew off. Someone else had a tamed Skoll and it set off NPCScan! Augh! I came back to the hatch and someone else was there. Chatted a bit, wished him luck, checked Gondria and Arcturis, went and PVP'd and did other stuff. Quit and deleted my cache.
Came back a bit later, waited around, might have run a BG from there and came back. Nothing. Decided "to hell with it."
But... I did one more pass of his western spawn points, and who did I find up at the point north of Valkyrion but my own little spirit wolf.
